"What about drawdown?"
Every mode has an open planning range on this page: Flip 30-40%, Aggressive 20-40%, Balanced 10-20%, and Prop Firm up to 10%. These are not fixed limits. You can also set your own drawdown limits inside DowGold's settings. Drawdown is normal, expected, and something you plan for, not something we pretend does not exist.

DowGold is news-aware and can step aside around major events. The Jan 2026 gold crash is the clearest real-world test: the long-term account took a sharp drawdown, traded through it, and recovered to new highs. That whole episode is public on MyFXBook.

"Does it use martingale or grid?"
Not on Gold. Ever. Gold moves too hard and too fast to average into losses safely, so DowGold never uses grid or martingale recovery on XAUUSD. Every Gold position is a single order with its own exit; a losing trade is closed and taken, not stacked into. On US30, the EA can add orders into a trend that is already in profit, pyramiding into strength, never rescuing weakness. The one exception is Silver, which uses a controlled form of order averaging for recovery. It yields more profit but carries more risk, which is exactly why Silver is switched off by default and only trades if you deliberately enable it.

Is the EA I get from CheaperForex the same as buying directly?
It is the exact same DowGold EA, the same version, the same cloud engine, and the same updates. The only difference is where you bought it. Your license and member zone work the same way.
Why is DowGold more expensive than typical EAs?

Do I get access to a VIP or signals group?

Which platform does it run on?
DowGold runs on MetaTrader 5 (MT5) only. You will need a broker that offers Gold (XAUUSD) and, for 24/7 running, a low-cost VPS is recommended so your home PC does not need to stay on.
Does DowGold use martingale or grid?
Never on Gold. Gold is too volatile for grid or martingale recovery, so on XAUUSD every position is a single order and DowGold takes its losses and moves on rather than stacking positions to claw them back. On US30 it can add orders into a trend that is already running in profit, which is pyramiding into strength, not doubling down on weakness. Silver behaves differently: it uses a controlled form of order averaging for recovery, offering higher returns with higher risk, and for that reason Silver is off by default and must be deliberately switched on.
What drawdown should I expect?
