📥 Install in 4 Steps
  1. Extract the ZIP to find the .ex5 file inside.
  2. In MT5: File → Open Data Folder, then navigate into MQL5 / Experts.
  3. Drop the .ex5 file into the Experts folder. Restart MT5 (or right-click "Expert Advisors" in the Navigator → Refresh).
  4. Open the Strategy Tester (View → Strategy Tester or Ctrl+R), pick the DowGold EA from the dropdown, set the symbol to XAUUSD, choose your date range, and run.
💡 Strategy Tester Settings We Recommend
  • Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold) — the EA is gold-only in backtest
  • Modelling: Every tick based on real ticks for the most accurate results
  • Period: M5 or M15 works well — the EA is timeframe-flexible
  • Starting deposit: Whatever matches your real account size — try $1,000 or $10,000
  • Date range: Pick at least 3 months of data for a meaningful sample. The longer, the better.
