"What about drawdown?"
Every mode carries a relative risk label on this page: Prop Firm ultra low, Balanced low, Aggressive medium, Flip medium-high. You can also set your own drawdown limits inside DowGold's settings. Drawdown is normal and something you plan for, and every public MyFXBook account shows it openly.

Prop Firm mode is built for stricter conditions and lower risk, and customers do use it for challenges. But we will never promise a guaranteed pass. Always check your firm's specific rules on EAs, news trading, and maximum daily loss before you run it.

"What happens during big news?"
DowGold is news-aware and can step aside around major events. The Jan 2026 gold crash is the clearest real-world test: the long-term account took a sharp drawdown, traded through it, and recovered to new highs. That whole episode is public on MyFXBook.

"Does it use martingale or grid?"
Not on Gold. Ever. Gold moves too hard and too fast to average into losses safely, so DowGold never uses grid or martingale recovery on XAUUSD. Every Gold position is a single order with its own exit; a losing trade is closed and taken, not stacked into. On US30, the EA can add orders into a trend that is already in profit, pyramiding into strength, never rescuing weakness. The one exception is Silver, which uses a controlled form of order averaging for recovery. It yields more profit but carries more risk, which is exactly why Silver is switched off by default and only trades if you deliberately enable it.

"Do I need to leave my PC on?"

Starter allows one authorised MT5 account. New Starter licenses include an initial assignment and one correction. After that correction, wait 24 hours before changing accounts again; each later change starts another 24-hour wait. Ultimate allows up to six accounts at the same time with unlimited account changes. Existing licenses keep their current terms.
Do I get updates?
