How the Installation Process Works
We connect to your machine. After your purchase, we connect to your VPS or computer to perform the installation. There are three ways to do this:
Preferred: You provide your VPS IP address, username, and password. Let us know which MT5 terminals you want the EA installed on and we will handle everything. You can change your VPS password afterwards. We handle hundreds of installations like this every month and can be trusted — our Excellent rating on Trustpilot confirms this.
Alternative: We connect via UltraViewer or AnyDesk. You can watch the entire process live — it takes around 60 seconds per MT5 terminal. We enter our MQL5 username and password, press Install, and it is done.
We install the EA. We sign into our MQL5 account within your MetaTrader 5 terminal and install the EA directly onto your platform. Our MQL5 account remains signed in — this is required for the EA to run and receive updates.
We hand it back to you. Once the EA is installed and running on your chart, we disconnect from the remote session. The EA is now on your MT5 platform and ready to trade. You can connect any broker account to your terminal — it does not matter which broker's version of MT5 you use.
That is the entire process.

Does the EA Transfer to My MQL5 Account?
No. The EA is not transferred to your personal MQL5 account. It does not need to be. The EA is installed on your MetaTrader 5 terminal through our MQL5 account, which remains signed in on your platform. You do not need your own MQL5 account. You simply leave our account signed in and everything works.
This is how all MQL5 marketplace products work. Each license is tied to the MQL5 account and the hardware it is installed on. Our account stays signed in on your terminal so the EA can run and receive updates. You can connect any broker account to your MT5 terminal — the broker name or branding on your terminal does not matter.
Where Should the EA Be Installed?
We strongly recommend installing EAs on a Windows VPS rather than a home computer. Because the activation is hardware-locked once installed, you want it on a machine you will keep running for a long time.
VPS — Recommended
A Windows VPS runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — exactly what an EA needs. You can log in from anywhere using Remote Desktop, and VPS plans start from around $12 per month. We recommend OVH and Contabo, both of which are reliable and well-suited for MT5 trading. If you need help choosing or setting up a VPS, we can assist with that too.
Home PC — Not Recommended
You can install EAs on a home PC, but it is not ideal. A home computer is not always running — restarts, power cuts, internet outages, and Windows updates will all interrupt your EA. If the EA is not running, it cannot trade. A VPS eliminates all of these problems.
Important: The activation is locked to one machine. We cannot install the same EA on multiple computers. However, you can run multiple MT5 terminals on the same machine, each with a different EA — that is no problem. Your MT5 terminal can also connect to any broker account once the EA is activated. The EA stays inside the MT5 unless you manually sign out of our MQL5 account. Windows VPS only — MT5 does not run on Linux.
What About Future Updates?
When the developer releases a new version of the EA, you can download and install the update yourself at any time. Updates are free for life. Here is how:
Open MetaTrader 5 on the machine where the EA is installed.
Go to the Market tab at the bottom of the terminal.
Click the Purchased tab within the Market section.
The EA will appear in your purchased list. Click Install to download the latest version.
You do not need to contact us for updates. Because our MQL5 account remains signed in on your terminal, the update appears automatically in your Market tab. You simply click Install and the newest version replaces the old one.

Do I need my own MQL5 account?
No. Our MQL5 account is signed in on your terminal during installation and remains signed in. You do not need your own MQL5 account at any point.
Can I install the EA on a different computer later?
The activation is locked to one machine, so we cannot install the same EA on multiple computers at the same time. If you need to move the EA to a new VPS, contact us and we will reinstall it for you at no extra charge. This is why we recommend choosing a VPS you plan to keep for the long term.
How many MT5 terminals can I run on one VPS?
You are only limited by your computer or VPS resources. Most customers run between 5 and 10 MT5 terminals per VPS with no issues. Each terminal is connected to a different MQL5 account and can run a different EA. To install multiple MT5 terminals, simply click Settings on the MT5 installer before installation and choose a different install path for each one.
What if I already have my own EAs from MQL5?
No problem — you just need a separate MT5 terminal for us to install your purchased EA. You can connect multiple MT5 terminals to the same broker account, so nothing changes on your end.
Example: Your first MT5 is signed into your own MQL5 account, running your own EAs, connected to your IC Markets account 00001. Your second MT5 is signed into our MQL5 account, running the EA you purchased from us, also connected to the same IC Markets account 00001. Both run side by side on the same VPS with no conflict.
Will I ever lose access to my EA?
No, as long as you do not lose access to your machine. The EA remains installed and active for as long as your computer or VPS is running. If something does happen — for example, if you reinstall Windows — contact us and we can usually recover the activation for you.
Why can't you just share the MQL5 account password with me?
We never change the passwords on our MQL5 accounts. This is deliberate. If a password were changed, every customer using that account would lose their activation. By retaining custody of the account credentials and installing the EA for you directly, we guarantee that your activation never stops working. It is fairer for everyone and ensures long-term stability for all customers.
Is this a cracked or pirated version?
Absolutely not. Every EA sold by CheaperForex is a genuine, licensed copy purchased directly from the official MQL5 marketplace. It is the same product with the same protections and the same update access as a direct purchase.
How long does installation take?
