PSAR Gold Matrix EA MT5 combines Parabolic SAR direction with tick-volume confirmation for XAUUSD. The developer also calls the strategy PSAR Volume Matrix in its description. Its distinguishing feature is the requirement to compare current market activity with an average before placing pending grid orders.
SAR direction with an activity threshold
The SAR position relative to price supplies the directional check. A separate volume condition compares the current reading with an average over a configurable period, multiplied by the selected factor. Both filters have settings that can be adjusted or enabled independently as described in the source.
Tick volume reflects activity in the broker’s data feed rather than a single centralized total of all gold trading. That makes testing on the intended broker particularly useful. A threshold that is frequently met on one feed may behave differently on another.
Entry limits and open-position controls
The EA uses Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders at staggered distances. The maximum pending count per direction, entry delta and maximum grid distance control this layer. Check how many positions could result if a rapid move triggers several levels.
Fixed stops, dynamic trailing, an aggressive trailing option and break-even management are included. Positions can also close at a configured pip target. Lot size may be fixed or derived from a balance percentage, with margin validation before an order. Spread and trading-hour filters restrict when fresh entries can occur.
Using the dashboard for setup checks
The panel reports account values, open and pending trades, profit in pips and money, SAR state, current versus average volume, spread and server time. These readouts help check the configuration against the broker’s live conditions. They do not remove the need to monitor combined exposure.
The specified chart choices are XAUUSD M5 or M15 in MetaTrader 5, with fast execution and low spreads recommended. Verify gold distance units, stop-level restrictions and the effect of costs during testing. This is the SAR-and-volume member of the Matrix family; settings from the RSI or EMA variants are not automatically equivalent.
