London range meets a Donchian trend filter

The EA first defines the morning range and then evaluates a move beyond that range against the channel-based trend condition. Its published controls include DonchianPeriod, an active-hour window and RiskPercent. Order execution can select an IOC or FOK filling mode according to the broker’s supported conditions.

Setup and operating considerations

The developer names M5 or M15 and recommends low spreads and fast execution. The source says it calculates the morning range across broker offsets; its input screenshot labels the start trading hour as GMT, so confirm that clock basis when checking the broker-time conversion. Compare the displayed range with the intended session before relying on automated entries.

Grid, martingale and arbitrage are explicitly excluded in the source, and every trade is described as having a hard stop. A Donchian filter cannot prevent every failed breakout. Adaptive filling mode improves order compatibility; it does not guarantee a favorable fill when volatility expands beyond the morning range.

Gold Donchian input controls

The source input screenshot shows fixed lot or percentage risk, Donchian period, start/end trading hours and a separate hour for beginning range calculation. Fixed Lot is labeled to use percentage risk when set to zero; the minimum-stop field likewise identifies zero as automatic.

The pictured start-hour label explicitly says GMT. Trailing activation and modification step are labeled in points, while the minimum stop is labeled in pips. These are distinct units and timing controls: check their interpretation in the supplied build rather than copying every pictured value.
