Balance-step sizing needs interpretation
The source describes InpLotStep as an amount of account funds associated with each 0.01 lot increment. That is not necessarily the same calculation as risking a fixed percentage for a variable stop distance. Verify the actual volume produced and the cash loss at the selected stop before increasing the account size or changing broker. The developer excludes grids and martingale, and says each trade has a fixed protective stop. Smart trailing then manages the position after favorable movement.
Setup and practical checks
H1 is the recommended XAUUSD chart, with H4 also listed. ECN-style low-spread execution and a low-latency VPS are emphasized because the momentum module is sensitive to fills. Confirm whether the trailing activation distance is expressed in broker points and how it compares with spread and commission. A larger balance can cause automatic volume to rise even if market conditions have deteriorated, so monitor the sizing response as well as entry quality. Historical performance and the developer’s general momentum claims do not demonstrate that every breakout will continue or that a stop will always fill at its requested price.
The public input example uses InpLotStep of 1,000 account units per 0.01 lot and states that InpTrailStart is measured in points. This illustrates balance-step scaling; it does not by itself set a fixed percentage loss at the chosen stop distance.
The historical trade sample
The developer’s report records 2,313 trades, with 512 losing closes and 4.67% relative equity drawdown. It begins with 500 simulated capital, but the crop does not expose InpLotStep, protective distances or the selected H1/H4 setup. The monthly histogram is concentrated in January and October, so the result should not be interpreted as a uniform number of momentum opportunities each month.
