Separating direction from trend strength

The buy description uses TRIX crossing above zero, or remaining positive and rising, together with sufficient ADX strength. Sell logic uses the corresponding negative and falling TRIX condition. The stated indicator reference is TRIX period 15 with ADX period 14 and a minimum level of 20. These are configurable values, not evidence that weak or misleading trends are eliminated. The image therefore represents one configuration, not proof that five is always active. Check the actual count before estimating how many positions may open in a fast move.

The source offers fixed lots and percentage sizing, automatic stops, margin checks, maximum spread and adjustable trailing. It separately presents 0.20–0.30 lots and a 0.5% risk alternative. Confirm the chosen mode and aggregate exposure; a percentage input does not prove percentage sizing is active when fixed lots are set.

Choose the chart before assessing the result

The author discusses M5, M15, M30, H1 and H4 as possible gold timeframes, with different trade frequencies and holding profiles. The pictured historical test is specifically M5. Its result cannot establish equivalent behavior on every higher chart period, so each intended timeframe needs a separate evaluation.
