Lightning Break EA MT5 trades XAUUSD range breakouts using Buy Stop and Sell Stop pending orders, multiple-timeframe analysis and configurable exits. Ming Qun Wen links three monitored accounts to the listing: two MT5 accounts and one MT4 account, all labeled Real Account by MQL5.
Our assessment: an execution-sensitive gold breakout system with useful public account evidence, rather than just a historical profit curve. The provider accounts show substantial growth, but their short trade duration, balance drawdowns, copying warnings and a subscriber’s contrasting results deserve equal attention. This review analyzes sources checked October 13, 2026; it is not a firsthand trading test or an audit of the supplied executable.

The entry mechanism and adjustable controls
The overview describes placing a Buy Stop at the upper edge of a gold range and a Sell Stop at its lower edge. Price must break out before the corresponding pending order activates. Analysis across several timeframes supports this process, although the public overview does not name the precise internal period set or a required attachment chart.
The developer says each order has Stop Loss and Take Profit, with no additions to positions or martingale. Money management, drawdown controls, trading sessions, pending-order methods and exit parameters are adjustable. Economic-event filtering aims to avoid high-impact release windows. These are described controls, not guarantees of fills, a particular maximum loss or compliance with every prop-firm rule.
Fast price movement can activate a pending order at a different price from the intended level. Spreads, commissions, latency and stop execution affect the resulting trade. The listing’s statement that the system carries no trading risk cannot be accepted as a factual conclusion: its own linked accounts contain losing trades and drawdowns.
Current release and the limited backtest window
The retail listing was published September 26, 2026. It showed version 3.3, dated October 4, 2026, adding specified-event news filtering and a shared time window. Version 3.2, dated September 30, says a bug was fixed and signal accuracy improved, without explaining the full mechanism.
The developer specifically requests backtests using data after January 1, 2026, saying the system’s judgment conditions cannot be satisfied by older history. It describes a January-to-October 2026 test and emphasizes differences between simulation and live operation. The historical-data restriction is not fully explained. We do not treat it as evidence that the strategy is robust across earlier regimes or accept the listing’s general mature-and-stable claim as independent validation.

The supplied image shows a partial tester setup and rising curve rather than a complete statistical report. It does not provide enough information to reconstruct the risk preset or verify drawdown and modeling assumptions. Its USD 300 example is test capital, not a universal starting-deposit recommendation. The pictured test ends before the October 4 release that added specified-event news filtering.
The linked accounts began monitoring before this retail release and version 3.3. Their records are useful evidence of the developer’s trading approach, but the sources do not establish that every historical trade used today’s executable, settings or news-filter logic.
MT5 account 2377255: growth with an execution warning

This account reported 721.31% growth, profit of USD 2,163.93, and balance and equity of USD 2,463.93. It started from USD 300, with no additional deposits or withdrawals shown. MQL5 displayed 23 weeks of account history, while its separate monitoring-start field is July 8, 2026. Those fields should not be collapsed into a claim that the current retail build was monitored continuously for 23 weeks.

The record showed 4,128 trades, a 54.96% win rate and profit factor 1.43. Relative balance drawdown was 10.93%, compared with relative equity drawdown of 2.08%. The average holding time was one minute, maximum deposit load 8.40%, and algorithmic trading 100%.
The reported expected payoff was only USD 0.52 per trade. That account-specific statistic is not a transferable return estimate, but it explains why worse execution can be material. MQL5 warns of both excessive recent growth and high negative slippage when copying. A best trade of USD 401.88 also represents a meaningful part of the total cash profit, so the headline growth should be read with the detailed distribution.
MT5 account 2377257: a second record on the same broker

The second MT5 account showed 444.79% growth, USD 1,334.38 profit and balance/equity of USD 1,634.38. Its initial deposit was also USD 300, without later deposits or withdrawals. MQL5 displayed 19 weeks, with monitoring starting July 8, 2026.

There were 1,044 trades, a 54.50% win rate and profit factor 1.51. Relative balance drawdown was 11.10% and relative equity drawdown 2.07%. Average holding time was three minutes, maximum deposit load 9.64%, and algorithmic trading 99%. MQL5 showed the same high-growth and negative-copying-slippage warnings.
A second profitable account adds useful context, but these two records use the same developer, gold market and broker server. They are not independent strategy diversification. Different trade counts and outcomes also show why common product branding should not be taken to mean identical execution or settings.
The third account is MT4, not the edition sold here

The linked MT4 account reported 661.26% growth, USD 1,983.77 profit and balance/equity of USD 2,283.77. It likewise began with USD 300, without additional deposits or withdrawals. MQL5 displayed 19 weeks, with a July 8, 2026 monitoring start.

Its 1,189 trades produced a 53.91% win rate and profit factor 1.74. Relative balance drawdown was 7.77%, relative equity drawdown 2.38%, average holding time three minutes and maximum deposit load 8.25%. Algorithmic trading was 100%; the high-growth and copying-slippage warnings were again present.
Why the roughly 2% equity figures are not a complete risk summary
The pages separately report relative balance drawdown, maximal monetary balance drawdown and relative equity drawdown. They are different measures and can refer to different episodes or monitoring coverage. We retain the figures as reported rather than selecting the smallest percentage and marketing it as the account’s universal worst loss.
All three accounts use 1:500 leverage, have meaningful losing-trade records and trade the same underlying gold market. Balance equaling equity at the captured moment does not describe the worst historical open exposure. The growth is real-account data as labeled by MQL5, but no snapshot guarantees future growth, stable drawdown or equivalent execution on another broker.
Signal subscriber feedback: favorable provider results can copy poorly
Signal 2377255 includes four subscriber reviews. These concern a separate signal-copying service; they are not reviews of a CheaperForex purchase or proof that the current standalone EA performed identically for each reviewer.
In an October 2 review, updated October 6, Junichi Sato reports losing more than USD 100 on a trade where the provider earned USD 401.88, despite using the same lot volume. The reviewer says subsequent copied losses were approximately 1.5 times the provider’s while copied profits were about 60%, and describes severe deterioration in the subscriber account. We cannot independently verify those copied transactions or their cause, but the report is relevant to the platform’s own negative-slippage warning.
A September 25 subscriber describes a one-shot breakout approach and the advantage of low spreads. Their assertion that this removes margin-call risk is not established and should not be adopted as a safety guarantee. Two other entries are brief favorable and unfavorable opinions with little technical detail. The signal’s original subscriber-feedback tab is linked in the public sources below.
Running the EA on a local trading account differs from copying the provider’s orders because it removes the signal-copying step. It still relies on that broker’s quotes, spreads, pending-order fills and exit execution. A copying complaint does not prove standalone failure; equally, the provider’s curve does not guarantee a standalone customer’s result.
Setup and available product feedback
The checked product listing and comments contain no substantive purchaser reviews or comments. The available public release notes do not link a detailed product manual. We therefore describe the published strategy and controls without inventing a required chart period, lot-to-balance formula, private support-group benefit or service address.
Use the purchase page for the supplied files and setup details. DeliveryInformation.txt explains delivery and is not the executable. Free lifetime updates are included. A signal subscription is a separate service and is not part of this purchase.
