Midas Pulse is an XAUUSD M5 trend-and-breakout EA with fixed protective levels. The source describes moving-average direction, support/resistance breaks and compatibility with both MT5 netting and hedging accounts.
Trend alignment before a gold breakout
The published model first establishes a directional bias, then waits for price to pass a significant level. Its filter is intended to reject weak breakouts in sideways conditions. LotSize, StopLoss and TakeProfit are among the named inputs, giving a straightforward starting point for examining the relationship between order volume and stop distance.

Setup and operating considerations
The developer recommends tight-spread ECN or STP execution and a low-latency VPS. Its separate cent/micro and standard-account examples are not interchangeable, so check the broker’s contract size and minimum volume. Assess whether the breakout still has sufficient room after spread and commission costs.
The source markets the EA as ready for several prop firms, but those statements are not approvals from the firms. Backtest illustrations and filtering claims do not establish that every breakout will succeed.
StopLoss and TakeProfit are specified in points, while LotSize fixes the position volume. A change in stop distance therefore changes the amount at risk even when the lot setting stays the same; the broker’s gold contract size and point value matter for that calculation.
Midas Pulse’s optimized graph and fuller report
The later native tester table records 546 trades, seven losing closes and 34.02% relative equity drawdown. The smaller 7.22% beside maximal money drawdown is not the largest relative decline. These statistics also appear in the developer’s Midas XAU gallery, so they are not independent product-to-product corroboration.
The companion graph is labelled optimized for January 2025–July 2026 and accelerates sharply near the end. Its lower panel shows changing deposit load, but the tested stop distances and lot settings remain absent. It is a selected historical example, not a current live-account record.
