About Polar Star EA MT5

Nighttime Forex mean reversion with pending entries

Polar Star EA MT5 is Wei Tu’s multi-symbol night strategy, using a moving average and standard deviation to calculate Buy Limit and Sell Limit entry prices. A volatility filter checks entry opportunities, while the EA manages stops, targets and optional additional positions. The published five-pair setup covers GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUDUSD, EURCHF and EURUSD.

Entry control and flexible position management

  • Multiple symbols from one chart: configure the full broker symbol names in Inp_symbols. An empty value trades only the attached chart’s symbol; the linked preset explicitly supplies five pairs.
  • Internal M15 calculations: strategy data comes from M15, while ticks from the attached chart drive processing. Pending-entry checks include quote age and a spread-based distance buffer.
  • Optional counter-trend grid: adjustable spacing and a directional position-count threshold control additions after an adverse move. Set Inp_maxGrid to 0 or below to disable additions.
  • Volume-weighted targets: targets are recalculated for positions in the same symbol and direction, with additional conditional exit controls.

The default initial-entry session lasts two hours, with new entries stopping five minutes before its calculated end. Relevant unfilled pending orders are cancelled at session closure. Existing positions remain under management, and grid additions can continue outside that session. The terminal must stay connected and running.

Choose exposure deliberately

The developer states a USD 50 minimum balance, but that is not evidence that every five-pair/grid configuration is adequately funded. AutoLot uses balance and balancePerLot; changing baseLot alone does not reduce its size. Multiple held symbols and successive grid positions increase exposure, and sustained directional moves can create substantial losses.

The default floating-loss input is not a practical routine loss cap. Stop, holding-time and equity-triggered exits also depend on their conditions and successful execution. Test the intended symbol list, sizing and grid settings in your broker’s environment.

Original developer test evidence

Original Polar Star MT5 tester report showing relative balance drawdown 26.15 percent and relative equity drawdown 38.77 percent
Original developer MT5 tester report, checked October 12, 2026. It reports 1,483 trades, profit factor 3.23 and relative equity drawdown of 38.77%. Full run dates, build and settings are not shown; this is simulation evidence, not independently verified live performance.

Read the Polar Star strategy, preset and signal review for all four original images, the public manual and the monitored account’s short observation history.

For another system from the same developer, compare Eternal Engine EA MT4 and its MT4/MT5 strategy review. They are separate products; their settings and results are not Polar Star evidence.

Product FAQs

Polar Star EA MT5 FAQs

Still deciding?

Real people on support, by Telegram or our contact form.

What does Polar Star EA MT5 trade?

The published five-pair preset specifies GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUDUSD, EURCHF and EURUSD. Enter full broker symbol names in Inp_symbols. Its empty compiled default trades only the attached chart’s symbol.

Which account and chart setup does it require?

The listing requires an MT5 hedging account. Initial-entry calculations use M15 internally; the attached chart provides the ticks that drive processing. Keep the terminal connected and algorithmic trading enabled.

Does it use a grid?

Yes. Optional same-direction positions may be added after an adverse move. Inp_maxGrid uses a position-count threshold for the symbol, Magic Number and direction; 0 or below disables additions. The manual describes no grid-level lot-doubling formula, but added positions still increase exposure.

Does the two-hour session limit holding time?

No. It is the default initial-entry window. New entries stop five minutes before its end, and relevant unfilled pending orders are cancelled at closure. Position management and eligible grid additions can continue afterward.

Does the four-hour input guarantee closure?

No. Inp_maxPositionHour is a holding-time threshold for an attempted exit, subject to management conditions and trade execution. It does not guarantee that every position closes after exactly four hours.

Why can the lot size differ from baseLot?

baseLot controls FixedLot mode. AutoLot uses account balance divided by balancePerLot and then by 100, before broker volume constraints. The linked preset selects AutoLot; baseLot is not its active sizing control. This is balance-based sizing, not a stop-loss risk percentage.

Does the floating-loss input guarantee an account loss limit?

No. Inp_maxFloating is a trigger based on total account equity and balance, while its closing action targets this EA’s Magic Number. The default 1.0 is not a practical routine loss cap. Execution depends on available quotes and successful requests.

How should server GMT be set?

Check the broker’s offset and daylight-saving behavior. Automatic offset estimation is disabled in the tester, so configure the manual GMT input when backtesting.

Is the advertised USD 50 minimum suitable for every setup?

No. That is the developer’s stated floor, not a capital recommendation for all lot sizes, concurrent symbols or grid settings. Those choices affect exposure and margin requirements.

What do the public signal and screenshots demonstrate?

They are dated source evidence, not an independent test. The linked signal includes imported account history from before its October 9, 2026 monitoring start. The Polar Star review distinguishes that history, the short monitoring period and the differing developer report summaries.

What is downloaded after purchase?

The order provides DeliveryInformation.txt for arranging delivery, plus a CheaperForex-authored setup companion. The companion is not the EA executable or the developer’s public manual.

Are updates included?

Free lifetime updates are included. Releases are supplied as they become available to us; this does not guarantee delivery on the day an MQL5 update is published.
