Range Breakout EA MT5 by Jimmy Peter Eriksson trades breakouts across gold, forex, Bitcoin and stock indices. The full MQL5 name is Range Breakout EA with Range Filters: a session-based system that looks for price to leave a defined range, filters entries and manages trades through scheduled exits.
One breakout approach, five markets

The five built-in markets are XAUUSD, USDJPY, BTCUSD, US30 and DE40. Match the enabled symbols to those offered by your broker.
Does it need a specific timeframe or separate set-files?
The current standard presets are built in and the developer does not require a particular chart timeframe. The session timing and selected market preset still matter.
Can I trade every market from one chart?
Yes. One Chart Setup supports all enabled markets and is recommended by the developer for combined backtesting. For live use, the developer recommends separate charts with the matching Preset Market selection so you can inspect each range.
Does it use grid or martingale?
The developer specifies neither grid nor martingale. A breakout strategy can still suffer losing streaks and significant drawdown.
Which version do I receive, and can I update it?
