GOLD Pulsar MT5 Review: Tests, Settings & Buyer Feedback

GOLD Pulsar MT5 trades gold on M1 using a single-position approach, stop and target levels, adaptive trailing exits and filters for news, spreads and trading hours. It is aimed at traders who want to control exposure without a grid or martingale recovery sequence.

Our assessment: the controls are useful, but broker-sensitive execution and the difference between the published test sets deserve attention. This is an examination of public source material, not our own forward test of the EA.

How the controls fit together

Entry selection is proprietary; the public documentation describes position limits and filters more clearly than the entry formula. Trading can remain quiet while conditions are unsuitable. Version 1.8 introduced adaptive trailing-stop changes and entry refinements.

The published risk-3 preset enables AutoLot and sets RiskPerTrade to 3. It also contains break-even and two trailing controls, buy/sell switches, minimum and maximum lot limits, and spread-delay settings. These are preset values, not a recommendation that every account should risk 3%.

Developer tests: compare like with like

The listing gallery contains four 2023–2026 test illustrations. The two fixed-lot reports below show how changing size changes both profit and drawdown. They are simulations supplied by the developer, not independently monitored live accounts.

The gallery also contains compounded 1% and 2% examples with much larger final balances. Those dramatic endpoints should not become a return expectation. Their trade counts and win rates differ substantially from the separate tests on the linked settings blog, so the illustrations should not be treated as one consistent live record.

The linked blog’s risk comparisons

The developer labels the following tests as ICMarkets Raw Spread XAUUSD M1 over 2023–2026, at 3%, 5% and 7% risk. Their reported equity-relative drawdowns rise from 6.38% to 10.61% and 14.65%. This illustrates sensitivity to sizing, not a ceiling on future losses. The source’s own normal-risk guidance is lower than its most aggressive examples.

This image displays 25.74% gain and 4.50% drawdown across a short July–August window. It does not identify an accessible account URL or establish current broker, verification status or later results. We therefore present it as the developer’s historical image, not as a currently verified live signal.

What buyers report

The listing shows six ratings at this check. Positive feedback discusses trade selection, support and execution; the useful caution is that results can depend strongly on the broker and tick data. These are customer experiences on MQL5, not CheaperForex verified-purchase ratings or independently audited accounts.

In the detailed September report, playgold describes close agreement between a small live sample and a same-period real-tick test. That is an encouraging execution observation, but only a few weeks of one user’s experience. Petr Tesnar separately highlights broker sensitivity and the danger of overly optimistic tests that do not use real tick data. Neither observation establishes long-term profitability.

News filter and broker time

Allow forexsb.com under the terminal’s WebRequest settings, then check ServerGMT against your broker’s current offset. The published preset has automatic GMT disabled. A saved offset must not be assumed correct for every broker or season.

The news filter cannot run in the tester, according to the developer. Test and live entry counts can therefore differ even before spread and slippage differences are considered.

GOLD Pulsar or Diamond Pro?

They share a developer, but not the same intended market. GOLD Pulsar focuses on XAUUSD M1 with one position. Diamond Pro’s Forex approach uses H1 charts and different trade-management logic. Performance from one should not be used as evidence for the other.

Verdict

GOLD Pulsar offers a clear set of exposure and session controls for gold traders. Start by validating its current preset on your broker and comparing execution across varied conditions. Give more weight to a growing, verifiable forward record than to the largest compounded test balance.

Frequently asked questions

Which chart does GOLD Pulsar use?

The current listing specifies XAUUSD on M1 in MetaTrader 5. Both hedging and netting accounts are listed, with leverage from 1:20 and a recommended VPS.

Does GOLD Pulsar use grid or martingale?

The developer states that it uses neither grid nor martingale and allows only one position at a time, with stop-loss and take-profit levels. Losses and execution slippage remain possible.

It needs WebRequest access to https://forexsb.com and the correct broker ServerGMT setting. The developer states that news filtering runs in real time and does not operate in the strategy tester.

What starting balance is specified?

The current product listing specifies $500. An older linked blog says $200; use the current listing as the reference and choose risk appropriate to your broker and account.
