A tick-driven EA with adjustable history and entry sensitivity

Corrado EA MT5 processes recent price ticks and periodically selects an internal trading configuration from that sample. Its main controls let you change how much tick history it examines, how frequently it recalculates and how large a position it opens.

The developer, Andriy Sydoruk, specifies support for netting and hedging accounts. Corrado is designed around five-digit quotes and low execution delay; the overview singles out requotes as a critical consideration. Its suitability therefore depends on the actual broker feed and execution environment.

From incoming ticks to market entries

Corrado collects an in-memory database governed by CountTick. Once that sample is ready, an internal search evaluates tick-stack depth, direct versus inverted entry direction and price-impulse sensitivity. The chosen settings remain in use until the next ReOptimization cycle.

Entry decisions then combine the selected parameters with the current tick stack. During normal operation the sample updates continuously. On first startup, however, the EA waits for enough data instead of entering immediately.

That design makes the history length and recalculation interval important decisions. Shorter and longer samples examine different slices of market behavior; selecting a recent best fit does not prove that those settings will remain effective afterward.

Controls to review before trading

• Data window: CountTick sets the number of ticks used for analysis.
• Recalculation: ReOptimization schedules the next internal parameter search.
• Recent tick depth: CountSteck determines stack size, up to the stated maximum of nine.
• Exposure: Lot provides fixed sizing, while Risk sizes the trade with reference to the deposit.
• Execution and exits: order-filling type, maximum entry spread and requested take-profit and stop-loss levels.

Warm-up, testing and position protection

Restarting clears the internal database. Allow time for it to rebuild and check the terminal log before interpreting a lack of new entries as a fault. The overview does not specify one currency pair or a required chart timeframe; the strategy’s stated analysis unit is a tick.

The developer recommends preliminary testing in real-tick mode, focusing on history length and the recalculation period, with stop and target settings also available for optimization. Include realistic spread and commission assumptions and compare the behavior with a forward demo run.

The source describes TP and SL as requested levels that the EA can correct. Verify the resulting distances in the terminal and the broker’s minimum-stop restrictions. Neither a stop setting nor rapid analysis guarantees the eventual fill price during a gap or an execution delay.
