ET9 EA Review: MT4, MT5, Nine Strategies and Live Risk

By 8 min read

ET9 combines nine independently selectable strategies, centered on gold range/trend entries and H4 or D1 breakouts. Its main attraction is the ability to control each component’s sizing and exits. The central consideration is combined exposure: several strategies can be active on the same gold account, so individual stop-loss orders and a no-grid description do not establish low overall risk.

Our assessment: ET9 offers more control than a single fixed entry model, but that flexibility needs structured testing. Evaluate which strategies actually contribute, their simultaneous positions and floating drawdown; do not treat nine strategy names as nine independent sources of diversification. At the September 30, 2026 check, the linked MT4 signal showed 64.08% equity-relative drawdown; MT5 showed 28.37%. These are substantial losses from equity peaks, despite positive cumulative growth.

What the nine-strategy description means

The public overview groups the EA around trend trading inside ranges and additional entries when H4 or D1 levels break. It specifically identifies a Dragon Ball H4 breakout component. Each ET1 through ET9 can be enabled or disabled, and the expanded settings provide individual offsets, stops, targets and trailing controls.

The documentation does not provide a complete algorithmic specification for every named component. Nine toggles alone do not show that the entries are statistically independent, particularly when they share XAUUSD. In a demo test, separate results by strategy identifier and record when several components are holding positions in the same direction.

The developer says the system is neither grid, martingale nor scalping, and describes orders with individual stop-loss and take-profit protection. That is a description of the intended design, not a claim independently verified by inspecting the code. Its mention of additional breakout trades also means multiple simultaneous entries should not be mistaken for an anomaly by default.

MT4 and MT5: choose the account platform first

ET9 MT5
The overview recommends XAUUSD and also lists GBPUSD. The terminal must be MetaTrader 5.
ET9 MT4
The current recommendations emphasize XAUUSD, while the March 2024 release notes also added GBPUSD. The terminal must be MetaTrader 4.
Common design
Both describe the nine-strategy suite, independent controls and the same expanded management feature set.
Timeframe distinction
The chart may use any period according to the source. That does not turn the internal H4 or D1 breakout logic into an arbitrary chart strategy.

Do not assume a preset, trade history or signal on one platform proves identical execution on the other. Contract definitions, quote precision, broker data, account type and the installed settings can affect both entries and the cash value of a stop.

Sizing and exits deserve separate tests

Fixed Lots requires AutoMM to be off. The automated mode uses its Risk input alongside other sizing controls; the source’s four numbered risk levels are labels, not a clearly documented percentage-loss guarantee. Global and ET1-specific multipliers can further change exposure.

The expanded sizing module describes balance or equity calculations, recalculation thresholds, drawdown-related controls, maximum lot limits and an increasing-only option. Check how volume behaves after a loss and when several strategies trigger together. A protective label should not replace checking the resulting lots and total cash risk.

For exits, the public materials describe break-even, high/low trailing, staged profit protection and MagicTrail modes. A trailing stop can change the eventual payoff distribution substantially. Compare the same entry combination with documented exit settings rather than changing sizing, strategies and trailing rules at once.

Session and pending-order behavior

The current feature description adds per-weekday schedules, Friday close restrictions, pre-close entry bans and pending-order handling across the weekend. Spread monitoring is also described as pausing entries when the threshold is exceeded.

Pending deletion, staging and virtual expiry determine whether an earlier trade idea is still actionable later. Check those rules during a demo session that spans the actual broker close. The source also mentions configurable post-entry stop/target placement: confirm when protection appears on the broker and what happens if a modification is rejected.

What changed in the documented release

Both listings show the July 20, 2026 release and describe a large expansion of settings compared with the earlier build. The practical significance is more granular management, not proof of better returns. Earlier customer feedback and historical screenshots remain relevant context, but they should be dated rather than presented as a test of the current configuration.

  • March–April 2024: release notes added GBPUSD, lot multipliers, configurable ET1 maximum order count and the interval between additional entries.
  • May–August 2024: the Dragon Ball H4 breakout component was merged, followed by maximum stop-loss and take-profit parameters.
  • July 2026: version 5.20 expanded the documented inputs from 20 to 104, including individual strategy management, three-tier trailing, weekday filters and pending-order controls.

These entries document changes, not evidence that a specific historical complaint was resolved. A fresh configuration should be checked against the installed input names and tested before using an older preset. No dedicated public ET9 manual was linked in the inspected material.

Live signal: read the risk and history together

The developer links two distinct accounts. They use different platforms, brokers, leverage and histories; comparing their growth alone cannot establish that one ET9 edition performs better.

ET9 MT4: high growth with severe drawdown

The MT4 signal showed 2,197.10% growth, 1,027 trades and a 3.05 profit factor at retrieval. It also showed 64.08% relative equity drawdown and 91.19% relative balance drawdown. A separate, smaller “maximal” balance metric is not a substitute for those relative drawdown measures.

MQL5 flagged 80% of the growth occurring within nine days, maximum deposit load of 109.86%, and a change in trading style with part of the history excluded from statistics. The site also warned that large drawdown could recur. These details make the headline growth unsuitable as a smooth or low-risk return expectation.

The page displayed 39 weeks of account history, but its monitoring start was February 25, 2026. The displayed history and the period publicly monitored by MQL5 are not interchangeable. This account used DPrimeVU-Live4 with 1:500 leverage.

ET9 MT5: positive cumulative growth, a negative current month

The MT5 signal showed 30.04% growth, 704 trades and a 1.26 profit factor. Relative drawdown was 28.37% on equity and 41.03% on balance, while the displayed monthly growth was −27.74%. Positive cumulative growth did not prevent a significant recent loss.

This account displayed 24 weeks of history, but MQL5 monitoring began July 8, 2026. It used ICMarketsSC-MT5-6 with 1:1000 leverage. At retrieval, MQL5 blocked copying subscriptions because the account exceeded its 1:500 leverage limit; the public statistics were still viewable.

Copying subscription was blocked because account leverage exceeded 1:500. This is a dated third-party account, not a forecast.

Both histories include periods before the July 20, 2026 release. Their cumulative statistics are not isolated tests of that release. Average holding times were 41 minutes for the MT4 account and 24 minutes for MT5, illustrating why the overview’s general multi-hour description should not be treated as a guarantee for every configuration.

Historical tester image: a different type of evidence

The developer’s gallery also contains a long-period tester curve. The image carries a claim that live trading matches the backtest, but the picture alone cannot establish that equivalence: it does not supply a complete reproducible report with settings, data, spreads, commissions and execution assumptions. It is historical context, not a replacement for the current account drawdown above.

Customer feedback is mixed and historical

One April 2024 MT5 reviewer described ET1 doing most of the trading and deliberately reducing the number of entries. The same reviewer viewed the slower breakout components more favorably and recognized that they needed suitable market conditions. This is useful feedback about exposure and patience, but it is not a controlled test of every strategy.

Another April 2024 reviewer reported several same-direction positions and unfavorable large-loss/small-profit behavior. These are customer experiences on older builds, not independently verified account audits. They are a reason to inspect concurrent exposure and payoff size rather than relying only on a high proportion of winning trades.

The MT4 review section also includes positive March 2024 feedback describing live results close to the tester. That opinion predates the current management overhaul and does not establish a present-day MT4/MT5 equivalence. MQL5 comments have not been imported as CheaperForex verified-purchase ratings.

A later MT4 comment from April 2026 questioned why its profit-protection settings closed tester trades differently from the signal and asked which parameters were used. The inspected reply linked the signal rather than supplying a public parameter-by-parameter explanation. That leaves a practical verification task: confirm the preset and exit behavior for your intended account, rather than assuming the displayed signal is the default setup.

ET9 and Dragon Ball

The developer links Dragon Ball EA MT5 from ET9 and describes a Dragon Ball H4 breakout component inside ET9. Buying or running both does not automatically diversify an account; examine overlapping entries, symbols and directional exposure before combining them.

Frequently asked questions

Are the nine strategies guaranteed to diversify risk?

No. They can share the same symbol and direction. Track results and simultaneous exposure by strategy before concluding that a combination diversifies the account.

Are ET9 MT4 and MT5 presets interchangeable?

Do not assume so. The platform, symbol settings, broker data and supported inputs need to match. The MT5 overview names XAUUSD and GBPUSD; MT4 currently emphasizes gold, although its historical release notes also added GBPUSD.

Does customer feedback prove the current release is profitable?

No. The selected comments are dated experiences from older builds, not independently audited tests. Use them to identify behavior to investigate, including order count and stop/target sizing.

Does a developer signal show what my account will earn?

No. A signal reflects its own broker, capital, settings, leverage, history and changing exposure. Review drawdown and monitoring duration alongside growth, then evaluate your intended configuration separately.
