Gold Hedge Pro EA MT5 automates a gold trading cycle that starts with opposing positions and then follows the side that reaches your chosen trigger. Its main configuration choices are how that direction is selected, how quickly position size grows, and when the whole cycle closes.
Is your account suitable for Gold Hedge Pro?
- Platform and account
- MetaTrader 5 with hedging enabled. The opening buy and sell must be able to coexist; a netting account changes that structure.
- Market
- Gold. Check your broker’s symbol, contract size and permitted lot increments before choosing the starting volume.
- Trading style
- A staged hedge-to-direction sequence with progressive lots. It needs room for several positions, not just the margin for the first order.
- Capital and timeframe
- No universal minimum deposit or chart timeframe is established by the public listing. The deposit shown in a test is not an account requirement.
Set the cycle, then test a complete restart
- Choose the direction trigger. Decide whether dollar profit, pip distance, or both will select the active side. Confirm the opposite hedge closes when the trigger is met.
- Size the complete progression. Consider the starting lot, multiplier and maximum stages together. Check the largest planned sequence against the account’s free margin, rather than judging affordability from the first lot alone.
- Check the exit and restart. Test earlier-stage stop adjustments and the optional combined-profit target. Watch what happens after the basket closes and a new cycle begins, including both sides’ trading costs.
The initial hedge is temporary: once a side is selected, the sequence takes directional exposure. Stage limits and free-margin checks restrict additions, but they do not guarantee a maximum loss on the positions already open.
Compare the original test periods
The developer supplied eight tester reports and curves, grouped as seven months, three months, one month and ten days. Start with the paired seven-month report and curve below; the other periods are available in the expandable section. Compare equity drawdown and settings as well as the ending balance. These are simulations, not a linked public live account.

What does Gold Hedge Pro trade?

What setup should I use?
Use MetaTrader 5 with a hedging account capable of holding simultaneous buy and sell positions on the same gold symbol. A netting account cannot preserve that starting structure. Check symbol specifications, minimum lot size, margin and execution costs. The listing does not prescribe a universal chart timeframe or minimum deposit.
What are the main risk considerations?
Progressive sizing increases exposure as a sequence develops. Earlier-stage stop protection and a maximum stage count are useful controls, but neither guarantees that a reversal or slippage cannot cause a loss.
