Gold Hedge Pro starts with a buy/sell hedge on gold, then selects the side that reaches a profit or pip trigger and builds a directional sequence.
Our assessment: A configurable gold hedge-to-trend engine for users who understand staged exposure. The important decision is the lot progression and protection settings, rather than the smoothness of a selected backtest.

How the hedge becomes a directional sequence
The initial buy and sell avoid choosing one direction at entry, but they still incur spread and any applicable commission. When one side meets the selected dollar-profit or pip-distance trigger, the EA closes the opposite hedge and follows the winning direction. It is therefore not permanently market-neutral: the later sequence carries directional exposure.
Stage targets and stop protection
The lot multiplier determines the size of subsequent entries, while stage-profit thresholds govern when those entries become eligible. As new stages open, protection on previous stages moves toward later entry levels. The optional combined-profit target applies to positions managed by this EA, not indiscriminately to every trade in the account.
The September release changes matter
The developer’s 5 September 2026 release notes reduce the default stage-target growth factor from 20 to 5 and switch the pip trigger off by default, leaving the dollar-profit trigger active. The developer says these defaults can produce earlier or more frequent additions. The notes also describe a trade-identification fix and persistent daily/monthly profit snapshots, including yesterday, last month and withdrawals. This is a dated release summary, not a fixed supplied-version promise.
Read the test periods separately
The gallery contains reports labelled seven months, three months, one month and ten days, with associated balance/equity curves. These are developer Strategy Tester examples, not seven months of independently monitored live trading. The curves illustrate different samples; joining them together or selecting only the smoothest period would overstate the evidence.

Customer feedback and source scope
The MQL5 page showed no customer reviews at our 17 September 2026 check, so there are no customer-review screenshots or third-party star ratings to reproduce. Practical setup
Use MetaTrader 5 with a hedging account capable of holding simultaneous buy and sell positions on the same gold symbol. A netting account cannot preserve that starting structure. Check symbol specifications, minimum lot size, margin and execution costs. The listing does not prescribe a universal chart timeframe or minimum deposit.
Decision points
Progressive sizing increases exposure as a sequence develops. Earlier-stage stop protection and a maximum stage count are useful controls, but neither guarantees that a reversal or slippage cannot cause a loss. A free-margin check prevents an unsupported new order; it does not insure existing positions.
