Pending orders are the core of the strategy
The system places orders above and below the current gold price, with levels that respond to average spread. A configurable candle filter determines when an entry window opens. Once an order is triggered, the trailing logic adjusts its stop as the trade progresses.
That approach makes entry quality partly dependent on the distance between the order and the market. A short price spike can trigger an order without producing a sustained move. In your tests, compare the requested entry, actual fill and subsequent reversal behavior; counting profitable trades alone misses the cost of poor fills.
The settings that change its behavior
The published controls cover order distance, an inhibition range, stop placement, trailing behavior, spread limits and trading-time windows. Position sizing can use a fixed lot or a risk percentage. The developer states that the system does not progressively increase lots through martingale.
A percentage input should still be checked against the stop distance and broker contract size. Also verify the meaning of points and pips on your gold symbol before copying any numeric setting. Different quote precision can make an apparently identical spread or stop setting behave differently between accounts.
