Promex EA MT5 brings a Forex reversal strategy to a MetaTrader 5 account, with adjustable entry aggressiveness, position sizing and trailing exits. Its separate Prop Controller adds account-level limits, so the main setup decision is how those limits interact with every other strategy running in the terminal.

- MetaTrader 5. Use the MT5 edition and settings rather than treating an MT4 file or test as interchangeable.
- Broker guidance
- ECN/RAW execution, leverage of at least 1:30 and a $100 minimum starting balance are stated by the developer.
- Currency settings
- EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD and USDJPY presets are described as privately available. Verify the intended pair and settings before choosing risk.
- Trade management
- Stop loss, take profit and short trailing exits; fixed-lot or percentage-risk sizing.
Decide what the account controller may close
- Review the whole MT5 account. The Prop Controller’s close-all action can include trades opened by other EAs. Set its daily drawdown, total drawdown and profit thresholds with that shared exposure in mind.
- Test the chosen entry and exit combination. Watch how aggressiveness, the initial stop and the trailing settings affect the size of wins and losses. A high proportion of winning trades is not enough to choose a lot size.
- Observe the news pause outside the tester. The news filter is inactive in Strategy Tester. A demo forward test is needed to observe that part of the operating behaviour; a historical test alone cannot reproduce it.
The controller’s name does not establish approval by a prop firm or guarantee compliance with its limits. Check the provider’s rules separately. A $100 developer minimum is also not a promise that an aggressive preset or several simultaneous strategies are suitable for that balance.
