Promex EA MT4 is the MetaTrader 4 edition for traders who want to test Forex price reversals within an existing MT4 broker setup. It combines conventional stop and target orders with short trailing exits, configurable sizing and a news pause, plus optional controls that operate across the account.
Before selecting the MT4 edition
- Platform match
- This offer is for MetaTrader 4. An MT5 terminal needs the separate MT5 edition.
- Execution requirements
- The developer calls for ECN/RAW execution, at least 1:30 leverage and a starting balance of $100 or more.
- Markets
- Private settings are described for EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD and USDJPY. Check the preset’s intended pair and the broker’s symbol naming.
- Adjustable behaviour
- Entry aggressiveness, fixed or percentage-risk lots, stop loss, take profit and trailing management.
An MT4 evaluation workflow
- Run the intended pair with the matching settings. Record the spread assumptions and inspect individual losing trades as well as the final balance. The historical report’s 90% modelling label does not establish the quality of a new test on your broker.
- Check the live-only filter in demo. The news pause is absent from Strategy Tester. Observe it in the MT4 terminal before assuming your backtest includes that entry restriction.
- Review account-wide closure before combining EAs. The optional Prop Controller can close all account trades when its daily/total drawdown or profit limits trigger, including positions that Promex did not open.
This reversal approach can collect small trailing wins while an unsuccessful entry reaches a larger initial stop. Consider that win/loss relationship when choosing exposure. Neither the account controller nor the developer’s minimum deposit guarantees a profitable outcome or acceptance by a prop provider.
What the original MT4-style test shows
The original EURUSD M15 report below covers January 2022 to October 2023 and carries a 90% modelling-quality label. It is developer-supplied simulation evidence. The separate four-week image is explicitly an MT5 demo account, so it is retained for context rather than presented as MT4 results.
