About Smart Gold Hunter EA MT5
Smart Gold Hunter EA MT5 trades gold through selectable profiles, from scalping to longer-held setups. Optional Portfolio Mode lets several profiles seek entries together, with separate position sizing and controls on combined directional risk. It suits XAUUSD traders who want to configure how an EA enters, sizes and manages trades.

One profile or a portfolio of gold setups
Choose from Striker, Ultimate Scalper, Classic Scalper, Positive RR, Swinger, Prop Firm Scalper and Custom. The developer’s September update makes Positive RR the default; an existing preset keeps its saved profile. Portfolio Mode is optional and combines profiles, rather than automatically spreading trades across different markets.
- Single-profile mode: concentrate on one entry and management style; balance-per-0.01-lot sizing is available alongside the other sizing choices.
- Portfolio Mode: set fixed lots or percentage risk for each participating profile and limit combined risk in each direction. BUY and SELL capacity are assessed separately.
- Exposure dashboard: inspect active profiles, pending risk and protection states before increasing exposure.
Entry, news and account controls
Spread checks, daily profit and loss limits, equity protections and market-close controls help define when SGH can operate. News filtering supports all high-impact releases or selected events, with additional Fed Chair protection. Profile-dependent execution options include entry randomisation, False Initial SL and stop adjustment against the execution price.
The developer markets SGH without grid, martingale or recovery. Portfolio Mode can nevertheless create exposure from multiple profiles. Its risk checks and stop settings do not guarantee the final loss during slippage, gaps or a disconnection.
Setup details that matter
Use MetaTrader 5 and the correct broker gold symbol, such as XAUUSD or its broker suffix. The current overview puts profile and settings ahead of a universal chart timeframe; the M15 label in the historical screenshot is not a requirement for every configuration. Low spreads, reliable execution and a continuously available terminal or VPS matter especially for short-duration profiles.
Record the active profile and sizing before comparing your trades with a signal. A Prop Firm Scalper profile is not approval from a funding firm. Does Portfolio Mode mean only one trade can be open?
No. Portfolio Mode can combine entries from multiple profiles. It checks available BUY and SELL risk separately; it is not a guaranteed total account-loss cap.
Is Smart Gold Hunter a recovery grid?
The developer describes SGH as operating without grid, martingale or recovery. Multiple-profile exposure and sequences of losing trades remain possible.
Is the stop always visible at the broker?
Do not assume that for every profile and execution option. Check the selected configuration, its initial-stop behaviour and what protection remains if MT5 disconnects.
Does the Prop Firm Scalper name mean a firm permits it?
No. Check the particular firm’s current trading rules and your chosen settings.
