About SmartBid EA MT5
Neural Gold trading with adjustable exposure
SmartBid MT5 is an automated XAUUSD Expert Advisor combining neural-network trade signals, adjustable lot sizing and configurable recovery trades. Its controls let you set the trading schedule, filter expensive spreads and define how much exposure the system can build. Low, Medium and High risk modes provide a starting framework for tailoring its behavior.
Controls that shape the strategy
- Entry and exit settings: choose permitted trade directions, use a maximum-spread filter and set active trading windows for each weekday.
- Position and equity protection: configure stop loss in points, account-level hard-stop protection and the separate EA-only hard stop, which closes the EA’s positions when its configured loss threshold is reached.
- Recovery limits: cap additional recovery entries and set their minimum spacing. Setting the recovery-trade limit to zero disables recovery.
- Trade management: trailing-stop settings include how many trades to trail. Custom Balance lets an instance calculate its sizing from a specified portion of the account balance.
Choose the setup deliberately
The older overview describes Gold on M10. Later developer notes highlight XAUUSD M1 following the version 1.9 strategy update, which also introduced Medium risk. Version 2.0, dated 7 June 2026, revises entry confirmation and direction handling. Use the documentation and presets applicable to your available build, then verify behavior on demo with your broker.
Recovery attempts to offset losses by adding trades; it can leave several positions exposed together. Higher risk, larger lot multipliers and waiting longer for profit can deepen drawdowns. A custom balance is a sizing input, not money held in a separate account. Check the combined exposure across charts and use explicit loss limits. Neither neural analysis nor a hard-stop setting guarantees profits or exact loss execution during gaps or slippage.

Should SmartBid run on M1 or M10?
The older overview specifies XAUUSD M10. The version 1.9 release notes subsequently highlight XAUUSD M1 after a strategy and model update. Use guidance appropriate to your available build and presets, and test the chosen chart on demo.
Can I switch SmartBid recovery off?
Yes. The documented Max Recovery Trades per Chart control disables recovery when set to zero. If enabled, recovery can add positions and increase combined exposure; use deliberate lot sizes and hard-stop settings.
Does Custom Balance ring-fence part of the account?
No. It supplies a virtual balance for that chart’s calculations. It does not move funds into a separate account or isolate losses from other charts, so assess total open exposure across the account.
Are lifetime updates included?
