About SmartChoise EA MT5

SmartChoise EA MT5 is a Gold trading system by Gabriel Costin Floricel that combines neural-network entries, adaptive position sizing and configurable recovery. Its appeal is the amount of control: you can adjust how it enters, how much exposure it takes and when it stops managing a losing position.

Gold trading with adjustable behavior

The MQL5 listing focuses on XAUUSD on M1. Choose Low, Medium, High or Extreme risk and Conservative or Aggressive trading style, then configure the strategies and limits to suit your testing. The developer’s wider timeframe guidance is discussed in the SmartChoise MT4 and MT5 review.

Flexible entries: neural-network signals with optional technical strategies, including support/resistance and candlestick detection.
Adaptive volume: automatic lot sizing responds to the selected settings and account conditions; fixed lots override those adjustments.
Recovery controls: limit additional recovery trades and configure spacing and basket exits.
Account and trade limits: configurable Hard Stop, loss limits, per-trade stops and trailing options.
Entry filters: spread and news controls, with confirmation options documented in the MT5 release notes.

Understand the recovery approach

SmartChoise may hold a losing trade and add positions in the same direction while seeking a combined exit. The developer describes its sizing as non-martingale, but recovery still increases exposure and can fail in a persistent adverse move. The maximum recovery count is per chart; several instances can create a larger account-wide position than one chart suggests.

Use demo forward testing to check entries, floating drawdown and stop behavior with your broker. A favorable backtest is not a forecast. Virtual exits depend on the terminal remaining online; the MT5 manual also documents a broker-managed stop option. Automatic news filtering requires the documented WebRequest permission.

Which market and timeframe does SmartChoise MT5 use?

The listing specifies Gold (XAUUSD) on M1. The developer’s separate timeframe guide discusses M1–M15 and suggests testing M1–M10, so the headline timeframe is not the only documented choice. Check the selected setup on demo.

Does SmartChoise use recovery trades?

Yes. It can add positions in the original trade’s direction with adjusted volume, seeking a combined exit. The developer calls this non-martingale, but exposure and drawdown can still increase. Recovery is not a guarantee that losing trades will recover.

Are the MT4 and MT5 editions interchangeable?

No. They run on different platforms and have different release histories and controls. In particular, the MT4 listing specifies M15 and describes simplified options. Use the product page for your platform and the shared review to compare them.
