Vortex Gold EA MT5 trades XAUUSD on the one-hour chart, combining indicator-based entries with selectable strategy profiles, additional-position management and individual stop losses. Its practical appeal is the ability to choose a cautious or more active configuration while controlling trading days, spread conditions and weekend exposure in MetaTrader 5.
Configure the gold strategy around your MT5 account
The developer’s current manual describes six profiles: Aggressive, Moderate, Conservative, Short Stop Loss, Stable and Turbo. These change how the system approaches opportunities; the separate risk preset controls exposure. Choosing a conservative profile does not cancel the effect of an oversized lot setting. Turbo is explicitly described as highly aggressive.
- Trading-session controls: weekday selection and optional closure ahead of the weekend help define when the EA may hold exposure.
- Entry and exit settings: configurable stop loss, take profit and trailing behaviour, alongside a spread filter.
- News filtering on MT5: the shared manual says the external WebRequest URL required by MT4 is unnecessary for the MT5 edition.
- Separate strategy instances: when running more than one profile, use separate charts and unique Magic Numbers, and divide the total risk between them.

MT5 setup essentials
- Market and chart
- XAUUSD / Gold, H1.
- Platform
- MetaTrader 5 desktop terminal; the MT4 executable is a separate edition.
- Starting capital
- Developer guideline: $250 minimum, $500 or more recommended. Multiple strategies require more headroom.
- Leverage
- The manual specifies 1:30 for lower risk presets and 1:100 or higher for higher risk. More leverage does not make the strategy safer.
- Operating conditions
- Check your broker’s gold symbol, contract size, spread and execution. A continuously running terminal or VPS is recommended.

What the evidence does—and does not—show
The linked monitoring account runs on MT4. It provides context for Vortex Gold, but does not establish that an MT5 setup will reproduce its trades. Historical gallery tests also use older settings. The full review separates those sources and examines drawdown, additional orders and customer feedback.
The developer advertises no martingale, but its release history describes averaging entries and a recovery function. This should not be treated as a no-grid or risk-free system. Hard stops limit intended exposure; slippage, gaps and several overlapping positions can still produce substantial losses.
