Quick Summary:
Price Action Robot for MT4 is the MetaTrader 4 build of MQL TOOLS SL’s new dual-pair algorithmic trading system, published on the MQL5 marketplace in May 2026. The MT4 port delivers the same pure price action methodology as the MT5 release — trading EURUSD and XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe using market structure analysis rather than indicators.
The strategy reads markets the way experienced manual traders do. Rather than relying on moving average crossovers, oscillator extremes, or other lagging indicator signals, the EA identifies real market structure events: swing highs and lows, break-of-structure moves, retests of key levels, and candle confirmation patterns. Stop loss placement is anchored to the actual price structure that defined the trade setup, which means SL distance adapts automatically to market volatility — wider during volatile periods, tighter when ranges compress.
For traders running MT4 by preference or by broker requirement, the MT4 build brings the same algorithmic methodology to that platform. The MQL TOOLS SL development team has a track record of maintaining both MT4 and MT5 versions of their products in parallel (Bitcoin Robot, Wall Street Robot, XIRO Robot, Big Forex Players all run on both platforms), so the MT4 build of Price Action Robot is positioned for ongoing development alongside the MT5 release.

Why Trade Price Action Robot on MT4
- You’re already running MT4 — many traders prefer MT4 by habit and have established broker accounts on the platform. The MT4 build keeps you on your existing infrastructure.
- Lower system resource footprint — MT4 uses meaningfully less RAM and CPU than MT5, making it the right choice for VPS configurations running multiple EAs side-by-side.
- Broker compatibility — some brokers still primarily support MT4, or offer better trading conditions on MT4 than their MT5 equivalents for EURUSD and XAUUSD pairs.
- MQL4 EA ecosystem compatibility — if you run other MT4 EAs alongside Price Action Robot, the MT4 build is the natural fit.
- Same pure price action architecture as MT5 — the underlying algorithm logic is identical: structure-based SL placement, RR-based TP, break-even, ATR trailing stop. No indicators, no grid, no martingale, no hedging.
- Dual-pair EURUSD and XAUUSD — both pairs traded from a single chart attachment with single-position discipline across both instruments combined.
- Full unlocked .ex4 file — install on unlimited MT4 terminals without activation restrictions.
The Trade Management Layer
Price Action Robot’s risk-management architecture has four components that work together on every trade:
1. Structure-Based Stop Loss: SL is placed at the recent swing high or swing low that defined the trade setup, not at a fixed pip distance. This means SL placement is anchored to actual price action — the swing point the EA used to identify the entry. If price moves through that swing point, the original setup is invalidated and the trade exits. SL distance therefore adapts to market volatility automatically: wider during volatile regimes (when swing distances are larger), tighter during quiet ranging periods (when swings are tighter).
2. Risk-Reward-Based Take Profit: TP is calculated as a fixed multiple of the SL distance. A consistent RR ratio across all trades means each position carries the same risk-reward profile regardless of underlying market volatility. The EA isn’t accepting worse rewards on volatile setups or worse risk on tight ranges — every trade is structured to the same RR target.
3. Break-Even Function: Once a trade reaches a defined profit threshold, the EA automatically moves SL to the original entry price. This eliminates the risk of a winning trade reversing into a loss. After break-even activation, the worst-case outcome on the trade is a small commission charge if the trade closes at entry; the actual SL risk has been removed.
4. ATR Trailing Stop: As the trade continues moving in your favour beyond break-even, the EA activates an ATR-based trailing stop that locks in incremental profit. The ATR-based trailing distance adapts to current volatility — loose enough during volatile sessions to avoid premature exits, tight enough during quiet periods to lock in available profit. This is fundamentally different from fixed-pip trailing stops that may be too tight or too loose depending on market conditions.
Single position at a time: The EA opens a maximum of one position across both EURUSD and XAUUSD combined. No stacking trades, no adding to losing positions, no lot multiplication. When a position closes, the EA evaluates conditions before opening the next trade.

Risk Disclaimer
Price Action Robot is a brand new product launched in May 2026 — the MT4 build is currently in its early-adopter phase with no verified live signal data and no MQL5 buyer reviews. The developer’s published 6-year backtest shows exceptional historical metrics, but backtest performance is not a reliable predictor of forward live performance, particularly for new EAs whose strategy logic was developed using the same historical data the backtest evaluates. EURUSD and XAUUSD are both subject to news-driven volatility that can produce price moves outside the algorithm’s trained parameter range. Test on demo or cent accounts for 4-6 weeks minimum on your intended broker before committing real capital, use conservative position sizing well below the backtest’s implied levels, and never deploy funds you cannot afford to lose.
