Gold trading with two entry styles
The developer describes entries in both directions, with one position per GoldenShot instance and a broker-side stop loss. GoldenShot does not use a recovery grid or martingale sequence. The practical appeal is a smaller set of trading decisions to follow: which entry style is active, what size it intends to use and how the open trade is being managed.
A single position can still lose substantially if it is oversized. Before enabling live trading, inspect the proposed lot size and money at the stop, not only the percentage written in an input field.
Gold symbol, account and trading conditions
- Platform and symbol: MT5 on your chosen Windows PC or VPS, with the broker’s gold symbol available.
- Account: the developer specifies hedging mode. Check your account mode in MT5 before running the EA.
- Trading conditions: inspect spread, contract size and minimum lot. A broker’s product name alone does not confirm suitable execution.
- Machine: keep the intended terminal connected while its active trade-management functions are needed.

Sizing, trading windows and protection controls
The public GoldenShot manual explains the controls. Read it alongside the latest release notes: the manual is labelled v1.10, while the current release checked on 9 September 2026 is v1.21. In particular, later updates changed daily drawdown tracking and some Momentum protection.
Fixed lots and percentage sizing are documented alternatives. Check the broker’s clock against the permitted trading windows and confirm the news-filter status. If your chosen percentage produces less than the minimum tradable lot, decide whether the trade should be skipped instead of accepting a larger exposure. The review explains why this detail matters.

This is a dated observation, not a forecast or a result achieved by CheaperForex. Our signal analysis separates trading profit from added deposits and considers the drawdown behind the headline.
GoldenShot or Wave Rider?
If you want to compare the developer’s two approaches, see Wave Rider EA MT5 and our Wave Rider review. GoldenShot concentrates on Pullback and Momentum without recovery; Wave Rider offers a broader strategy framework with optional recovery. They are separate products, and one product’s results do not establish the other’s performance.
