AMG Gold MT5 Review: Breakout Modes, Signals & Settings

AMG Gold MT5 trades XAUUSD through two selectable approaches: momentum breakouts and a faster tick-scalping module. Its appeal is the choice of trading pace and risk controls without the grid averaging used by some of this developer’s other gold systems. The main consideration is execution: the scalper’s trades are extremely brief, and the available account histories are still young.

Our assessment: a reasonably priced candidate for traders who want to test gold breakouts and understand losing streaks. The three linked accounts provide useful early evidence, but they do not establish a mature record across different market conditions. This is a source-based review, not our own forward test.

Two modes, with different controls

The 27 August developer explanation is more precise than simply calling AMG a multi-strategy EA. Midterm Strategy runs the original momentum approach and uses its Low-to-Aggressive risk profiles. Short-term Strategy selects the newer breakout scalper, which manages one pair of orders at a time and uses a separate account-balance risk input.

Only one mode runs on a chart; inputs belonging to the other mode are ignored. That matters when applying presets or comparing signals. Changing the profile can change the momentum strategy mix as well as exposure, so it is not simply a volume slider for otherwise identical trades.

The developer describes breakout entries rather than recovery through grid or martingale. Stops, daily-loss controls, spread checks and exposure limits are useful tools, but their effectiveness depends on settings and execution. A requested stop price is not a guaranteed fill.

IC Markets: the higher-risk momentum account

The AMG Gold HR Lv1 signal runs on ICMarketsSC-MT5-6 at 1:1000 leverage. Monitoring began on 18 August 2026. At our 11 September capture it showed 33.72% growth, $337.36 profit and balance/equity of $1,337.74 from $1,000.38 initial funding, with no additional deposits or withdrawals.

There were 75 trades, a 45.33% win rate and a 1.99 profit factor. Average winners were $19.94 versus average losses of $8.31. That is a more useful explanation of the profitable outcome than looking for a very high win rate: fewer than half the trades won, but the average winner was substantially larger. The statistics included eight consecutive losses.

MQL5 reported 12.79% maximal balance drawdown, 12.78% relative balance drawdown and 9.73% relative equity drawdown. These are separate fields; quoting only the smallest would give an incomplete picture. Average holding time was three hours. A recent inactivity warning had been removed after trading resumed. MQL5 disallows signal subscriptions above 1:500 leverage, so this account is useful for observation but is not an available copy subscription at its current leverage.

VT Markets: less activity, much less evidence

The AMG Gold LR account is the Low Risk momentum example on VTMarkets-Live 5, with 1:500 leverage. Monitoring began on 19 August 2026. It showed 12.16% growth and $60.80 profit, bringing its $500 starting balance to $560.80, with balance equal to equity and no funding changes.

Original MQL5 signal 2387388, captured 11 September 2026. Expanded warnings retained; only 12 trades at this check. Tap the image to view it at full size.

Only 12 trades had occurred, and the latest was ten days earlier. The 83.33% win rate and 19.31 profit factor are therefore fragile estimates. Relative equity drawdown was 6.28%, compared with just 0.42% relative balance drawdown: the account experienced more floating decline than its closed-trade curve suggests.

The account is below the minimum balance currently stated in the product listing. Its existence does not establish that a $500 balance will keep your selected risk percentage accurate. Minimum trade size, stop distance and broker contract specifications need to be considered together. “Low Risk” names a profile; it does not promise a maximum future loss or frequent trading.

Global Prime: the short-term scalper

The separate AMG Scalper GlobalPrime signal uses GlobalPrime-Trade, 1:500 leverage, with monitoring starting 27 August 2026. It showed 13.40% growth, $13.43 profit and $113.63 balance/equity from an initial $100.20. There were no additional deposits or withdrawals.

Its 28 trades averaged just 12 seconds in duration. The win rate was 46.42%, profit factor 1.95 and maximal balance drawdown 3.44%. Relative balance drawdown was 3.40%, while the separately reported equity measure was 0.12%. That tiny equity figure should not be promoted as the complete risk picture for such brief positions.

MQL5 explicitly flags the small sample, new account and risk of negative slippage when copying. Even if you run the EA directly, the underlying execution sensitivity remains relevant. Compare broker spreads, commissions, fill quality and latency using the intended mode. The $100.20 example is not proof that a tiny account is suitable for your risk configuration.

Settings and updates worth understanding

The public release notes show an evolving product: news filtering arrived in 1.52, the selectable scalper in 1.53, a scalper Visual SL Close feature in 1.54 and changes to the scalper entry core in 1.55 on 6 September. The captured scalper history spans these revisions; it is not a full test of one unchanged release.

Entry Variance examples also changed. On 23 August the author discussed a small non-zero value, then on 28 August reported using −300 points for the scalper and −200 for momentum because of observed slippage. These are dated examples, not universal recommended values. Do not transfer them between brokers without checking the current input definitions and testing.

The listing names setup, profile and set-file resources, but only the official AMG channel was linked; it required login during our check. No separate public manual was accessible from those resource labels. Public comments provide useful mode guidance, but they do not replace the current full instructions.

What the customer feedback adds

The listing showed three ratings. Michael John Malkinson’s 2 September review praised the author’s continuing support and work across products. Ismail Swed left a brief positive comment on 1 September, reproduced below. The third rating had no visible written comment at our check.

In the comments, Fürst Kunzini reported passing a first challenge phase and described helpful support. That is one customer’s experience, not a verified challenge-pass rate. The feedback is encouraging on support and initial satisfaction but contains little detail about long losing periods or current scalper settings. We would give the dated account records more weight than the star average.

AMG Gold versus AOT, ABS GoldGrid and AnE

We also sell AOT EA MT5, ABS GoldGrid EA MT5 and AnE EA MT5 from Thi Ngoc Tram Le. The author currently describes AOT around multi-currency mean reversion, while ABS GoldGrid and the current ANE evo listing use grid-based approaches. The CheaperForex AnE page retains its existing product name.

AMG’s breakout design offers a different entry and loss-management approach from gold grid averaging. That does not automatically make a combined portfolio safer: several systems can still share XAUUSD exposure or lose during the same market move. Compare the actual settings, open-position exposure and individual records before combining them.

At $109.95, AMG Gold is accessible as software, although trading-capital requirements deserve a separate decision. The clearest reason to consider it is its selectable breakout approach and transparent module-specific accounts. The reason to test patiently is that those accounts remain short, with very limited evidence for the quieter profile and execution-sensitive scalper.

AMG Gold review FAQs

Are the three AMG Gold signals running the same settings?

No. The product links IC Markets High Risk Level 1 and VT Markets Low Risk for its momentum module, plus a separate Global Prime account for the short-term scalper. Their results should not be combined or treated as equivalent tests.

Is the low-risk signal a mature track record?

No. At our 11 September 2026 check it contained only 12 trades and had been inactive for 10 days. Its 12.16% growth and 6.28% relative equity drawdown are a small early sample, not established expectations.

Why does the scalper need careful broker testing?

The Global Prime signal averaged 12 seconds per position at capture. Spread, commission, slippage and execution delays can therefore materially affect results. Developer comments also changed Entry Variance examples between August updates, so old values should not be copied without testing.

Have you independently tested AMG Gold?

No. This review examines the public listing, release notes, developer comments, three linked signal records and available customer feedback. It does not claim code auditing or an independent forward test.
