Gold Zilla AI MT4 combines five XAUUSD strategies with market-regime detection, multi-timeframe analysis and Grok-assisted macro monitoring. Christophe Pa Trouillas designed it to vary its approach as gold conditions change.
Our assessment: the strategy choice and public trading record make it more informative to evaluate than an EA supported only by backtests. The linked account is MT5, however, and its recent losing months and concentrated gains deserve attention before choosing settings for MT4.

How the strategy is described
The official MT4 listing describes five methods chosen using market-regime detection, with symmetric buy and sell rules. Its launch chart is XAUUSD M5, while analysis spans M5, M15, M30 and H1. This is a portfolio of approaches to one market, rather than diversification across different assets.
The author describes the strategies as uncorrelated. We have not independently measured that relationship, and strategies trading the same gold market can still experience losses together. The practical question is how each enabled strategy contributes to both returns and combined exposure.
What the AI component adds
Grok is described as supplying macro analysis, news monitoring and daily trend forecasts with reasoning, using live web search. That is a stated decision-support feature, not evidence that forecasts are consistently correct.
The listing directs original MQL5 buyers to request the manual and AI instructions privately. No separate public product manual was available in the materials inspected. Consequently, we cannot confirm from those sources which credentials, service plan or usage charges the AI component needs. Do not assume external AI access is included in the EA price.
The public signal: useful evidence, different platform

The linked GoldZILLA AI Medium Risk account is labelled real by MQL5 and runs on ICMarketsSC-MT5-6, with 1:100 leverage. At our check it showed 129.08% growth, $1,274.61 profit and $2,262.09 equity from a $987.48 initial deposit, with no subsequent deposits or withdrawals displayed.
It contained 366 gold trades, a 55.46% win rate and a 1.33 profit factor. These figures provide a clearer picture than the growth headline alone: aggregate profits exceeded losses, but the margin was not so large that trading costs or weaker conditions can be ignored.
MQL5 reported 21.84% relative balance drawdown and 12.84% equity drawdown. These are separately reported measures with different calculation and observation bases; the smaller number should not replace the larger loss measure in a buying decision. Neither is a limit on future losses.
Recent performance and history need context
The monthly table showed July at −3.83%, August at −5.79% and September to the capture date at −5.61%. Its separate last-30-day growth field was −21.03%. Those fields cover different periods, so they should not be treated as interchangeable monthly returns.
MQL5 also warned that 80% of the growth occurred within six days, only 2.43% of the displayed 247-day lifetime. A system can legitimately earn much of its profit in a few strong moves, but this concentration makes the entry date and participation in those trades particularly important.
The page displayed 36 weeks of account history and a signal start date of 4 March 2026, while its monthly table included January and February. The full history should therefore not be described as 36 weeks of forward monitoring. More importantly for this purchase, it is an MT5 account: it does not independently establish the performance of the MT4 build supplied here.
Risk modes and MT4 release notes
The inspected MT4 listing was version 1.4, updated 24 April 2026. The release notes describe a very-low-risk mode using a 5% drawdown reference. That describes the developer’s risk setting, not a guaranteed maximum loss. The linked medium-risk account is not evidence for that lower-risk configuration.
The earlier 1.3 note mentions adapting a strategy from M10 to M5 for MT4. This is another reason to avoid assuming the two editions are mechanically identical. Follow the MT4 chart instructions rather than copying every detail from an MT5 result or old screenshot.
The developer gives $500 minimum and $2,000 recommended starting balances and prefers ICMarkets. Those are setup references. Contract size, spread, slippage and the combined risk of enabled strategies still determine whether a configuration suits an account.
What customers say

The MT4 page had two positive ratings at our check. Bifrost’s 21 May comment favours strategies three and five, particularly five. That is useful as a prompt to examine strategy-level results, but it does not establish that those settings are best across brokers or market conditions.
The other reviewer, julioneves63, posted encouraging early feedback on 21 June about use and support, while indicating that evaluation was ongoing. Two entries are a small sample. Neither supplies a reproducible account record in the review text, and these MQL5 opinions are separate from CheaperForex verified-purchase reviews.
What to evaluate before trading
- Test the MT4 build with the exact strategies and risk mode you intend to run.
- Check the external AI requirements and behaviour if its connection is unavailable.
- Compare live execution costs with test assumptions, especially during gold volatility.
- Assess the current signal’s recovery from losses, not just its lifetime growth.
The developer states a 2017–2025 backtest period with out-of-sample work from 2023. We have not reproduced those tests. The linked general evaluation article discusses testing pitfalls, but it is not a public Gold Zilla operating manual or independent validation.
At $229.95, the MT4 edition is an option for traders who want to compare several gold approaches within one system. Its public evidence supports a considered evaluation, rather than a promise of a smooth equity curve. This review is based on published sources and dated captures, not our own live trading test.
Gold Zilla AI review FAQs
Does Gold Zilla AI use one strategy?
No. The developer describes five strategies selected through market-regime detection, with analysis across several timeframes.
Does the live signal prove the MT4 edition will match it?
No. The linked account is MT5, and broker execution, settings, platform differences and timing can change results.
Does very-low-risk mode guarantee a 5% maximum loss?
No. The release notes describe a lower-risk preset using that figure, but it is not a guaranteed account-loss ceiling.
Have we independently tested Gold Zilla AI?
No. This review evaluates the public listing, release notes, linked signal and customer feedback captured on 12 September 2026.
