Dual Striker MT5 trades XAUUSD momentum using stop-based entries, configurable position risk and several exit controls. Session filters, news pauses and an execution-quality dashboard help you assess when and how gold trades are opened.
Assessment: its separate stop, timing and execution controls are useful features for gold momentum trading. The early live account, however, has already experienced 65.42% equity drawdown. Treat the high win rate as a small-sample observation, not evidence that losses are tightly contained in every setting.

Joining a move rather than calling a reversal
Dual Striker waits for directional momentum and uses pending stop entries to participate. The developer describes one position at a time without averaging or lot recovery. Stops can be expressed in points or relative to price, while fixed targets, trailing, fading-momentum exits, reverse-impulse protection and time exits control when trades finish.
The illustration’s controlled-risk language is a design claim, not a promise that losses cannot exceed the configured risk. Gaps, slippage and broker execution can affect stop fills. Read the developer’s strategy explanation.
The live account: 156.72% growth with 65.42% equity drawdown
The 17 September 2026 capture is MQL5 signal 2385210, a real MT5 account on VantageMarkets-Live 14. Starting capital was $50, with no additional deposits or withdrawals shown; balance and equity were both $128.36 and profit $78.36. The account began on 5 August and displayed six weeks of history.

- Profit factor 27.56, based on this small sample.
- Maximum equity drawdown 65.42%, versus 1.07% relative balance drawdown.
- Maximum deposit load 59.29%; average holding time 18 minutes.
- Displayed leverage 1:100; the activity log records a change within the 1:100–1:500 range.
The large difference between equity and balance drawdown matters: a trade can incur a large unrealised loss before closing in profit. MQL5 warns that a large drawdown may recur. The $50 starting balance and short history also limit what can be inferred about scaling this account. The retail listing was published on 13 September, after the signal began; the full account history is not necessarily a forward test of one unchanged retail build.
Slippage is part of the strategy’s economics
The dashboard measures fills against requested order levels. This matters for momentum entries because adverse fills reduce the available move. A low displayed spread alone cannot establish good execution. The developer favours Vantage from his own broker tests, but that is his observation rather than our independent broker comparison.
Read the developer’s slippage discussion. Compare live fills, fees and stop behaviour on the actual account rather than assuming the source signal can be reproduced.
Time and news settings change the trades you see
Entry Order Period selects the working analysis timeframe, while Trading Mode changes activity without itself changing the configured lot or risk percentage. The source recommends an 08:00–15:00 UTC session and provides weekday and Friday pending-order/position controls. Verify broker time alignment; the tester requires the GMT input to be set correctly.
News filtering supports pauses before and after selected events, impact levels, currencies and keywords. The developer explicitly states that it does not run in Strategy Tester, so historical tests may include trades that the live filter would block. The original graphic’s example pause lengths are illustrative settings, not universal recommendations.
Prop controls and account requirements
Daily and maximum drawdown controls can help implement a chosen account policy, but they do not certify compliance with any particular firm. Compare timing, prohibited strategies, loss calculations and execution rules against the account’s actual agreement. The signal’s own 65.42% equity drawdown would be incompatible with many tightly constrained risk budgets.
The developer recommends RAW/ECN pricing, leverage of 1:500 and a minimum $50 deposit. Those are operating recommendations, not proof that a $50 account has adequate risk capacity. The current signal’s 1:100 leverage also shows that a marketing setup and a live account can differ.
