About SmartChoise Battery EA MT5
Classic SmartChoise logic for Gold
SmartChoise Battery MT5 combines neural-network analysis with the classic SmartChoise filters for automated XAUUSD trading. It is the branch built around the earlier SmartChoise 8.2 approach, with selectable trading styles, adjustable position sizing and a broad set of exposure controls. Its appeal is the familiar strategy structure and the ability to tune how actively it trades.
Strategy choices and account controls
- Multiple entry inputs: the manual describes neural analysis alongside support and resistance, candlestick, trend and price-level strategies.
- Adjustable trading behavior: Conservative and Aggressive styles work with Low, Medium, High and Extreme risk settings. Higher settings can increase exposure.
- Layered limits: hard stops, daily and weekly limits, equity controls and Safe Mode sit alongside stop-loss, take-profit and trailing options.
- Entry filters: spread controls and scheduled or automatic news pauses help restrict when new positions can open. Automatic news filtering requires the documented ForexFactory WebRequest permission.
Understand the recovery exposure
Battery can retain a losing position and add recovery trades in the same direction, with adjusted volumes, seeking an exit across the group. Recovery-count and spacing settings let you constrain this behavior. Multiple positions can still accumulate losses together: configure the hard stop and overall exposure before enabling recovery, and test the complete setup on a demo account. Protective settings cannot guarantee a particular maximum loss or profitable recovery.
The developer’s timeframe guide discusses short Gold charts, especially M1–M15. Choose settings for your broker’s execution and assess the total exposure if running several charts.
Battery retains its classic identity, but it has received model updates. The developer’s 7 June 2026 release notes also add optional time-based exits; the overview’s older training date should not be treated as the current release history.

Battery preserves the classic SmartChoise 8.2 strategy approach and filter structure. It is a separate branch, although subsequent releases have refreshed its neural model and added controls. It should not be understood as a permanently frozen 2025 build.
