EURUSD H1 Trend Follow Expert MT5 trades the euro-dollar pair using ADX trend strength and the relationship between +DI and -DI. It evaluates completed hourly candles, with configurable stops, percentage-based or fixed lot sizing, and optional trailing management. The design suits traders who want an explicit directional rule set for EURUSD rather than a collection of unrelated entry strategies.

How the hourly trend signal works

The entry decision separates direction from strength. A higher +DI than -DI identifies the bullish side, but a buy also requires ADX to reach the selected strength threshold. The bearish case reverses the directional comparison: -DI must be above +DI while ADX satisfies the same strength requirement. The EA can execute both buys and sells automatically.

When ADX remains below the threshold, the strategy treats conditions as weak or sideways and does not open a new position. Signals use completed H1 candles, so a temporary movement in the still-forming hourly bar is not the stated confirmation source. The ADX period and strength threshold are adjustable; their values affect which trends qualify and should be assessed together.

The developer also describes position management when an opposite trend signal appears. The overview does not specify a universal close-and-reverse sequence, so that behavior should be checked in the supplied inputs and a tester run rather than assumed to mean an immediate reversal on every directional change.

Position sizing and exit controls

Automatic sizing uses the chosen percentage of account balance and the configured Stop Loss distance. Alternatively, percentage sizing can be disabled in favor of a fixed lot size. These modes need different supervision: a fixed lot stays fixed as account size changes, while a percentage calculation responds to the inputs and account balance.

Stop Loss and Take Profit are configurable, and trailing protection is optional. The trailing distance and step are separate controls, allowing the trader to decide both how far protection trails and how much movement is required before an adjustment. A maximum-spread filter screens potential entries, while the Magic Number distinguishes the strategy’s trades. None of these settings makes a trend entry immune to gaps or execution slippage.

Use an EURUSD H1 environment as the starting point. The listing says broker suffixes such as EURUSD.pro may be supported through the corresponding symbol settings; check the actual instrument selected in your terminal. On-chart status information provides a practical way to check system state alongside the trade history.

In our assessment, the appeal is the transparent strength-and-direction logic. The trade-off is that trend confirmation can arrive after part of a move, and a trend can weaken soon after entry. Backtest a range of directional and sideways periods, including realistic spreads and commission, then use a demo account to compare live signal timing with the test. Test the opposite-signal and trailing behavior as well as the entry rule.
