Aero EA MT5 trades gold breakouts on XAUUSD D1, using kNN pattern selection, limit entries on a retest and volatility-based stops. Its controls include trailing exits, rollover filters and a selective protective hedge.
How Aero enters and manages gold trades
Developed by Volodymyr Babak, Aero compares a potential breakout with historical market patterns before placing a limit order for a pullback. ATR-based stop handling adapts the protective distance to volatility. Failed-breakout exits and a high-volatility holding-time filter provide additional ways to leave a trade. The developer describes no grid, martingale or averaging, but an opposite-direction protective order can accompany the main position: this is not a strict no-hedging system.

Setup and controls that matter
Use a MetaTrader 5 hedging account, XAUUSD D1 and continuous VPS operation. The stated minimum is $1,000, with $1,500+ suggested in the guide. Raw/ECN execution and low gold spreads are preferred. Session timing follows the broker’s daily candle, avoiding its first 150 and last 60 minutes by default; the documented news dates are built in, without a WebRequest URL.
Fixed lots override automatic risk sizing. Optional daily-loss protection, a broker-time reset and Friday closure can be configured. The guide says these optional account controls are off by default. A netting account disables the protective hedge, changing the intended behaviour.
Risk percentage is not a guaranteed loss ceiling
Although the overview describes a fixed maximum, the manual says stronger setups can size up enough for roughly one-third more risk than the selected percentage. Slippage, gaps and hedge execution can add uncertainty. Check the actual installed settings and account rules; a prop-firm label does not guarantee permission or prevent a rule breach.
Public results in context
On 16 September 2026, the MT5 medium-risk signal showed +47.50% growth across 110 trades, with 14.48% relative balance drawdown. Its displayed history was 35 weeks, but MQL5 monitoring started on 20 August. The older low-risk record is an MT4 account with non-gold trades, while the Darwinex-labelled account has only 16 trades. Our Aero review compares all three, including equity drawdowns, cashflows and original screenshots.
