HFT Spike EA for MT5 by Huseyin Furkan Ozturk targets gold after a sudden price move, looking for a filtered pullback rather than treating every spike as a breakout. Its chart panel gives traders direct access to sizing and account-risk settings.

Strategy and controls

XAUUSD focus: supports two- and three-digit gold quotes and uses M1 internally.
Position management: timed exits, stop-loss and take-profit handling, plus Friday trading cutoffs.
Account-aware entry limits: PropFirm Mode considers account-wide daily P&L when restricting the EA’s next entry.
Optional modules: recovery/grid mode and a USD Index protection filter change how exposure is managed.

Older parts of the listing say no grid; the release notes confirm that recovery/grid was added in version 4.50. Check the selected mode rather than assuming every configuration opens only one position.

Broker and setup considerations

The developer prefers ECN/raw-spread accounts. The EA is described as usable with ordinary retail latency, but spreads and slippage still affect a strategy with short holding times. The published $25 minimum refers to 1:500 leverage and is not a prudent-capital recommendation.

The optional USD Index filter requires a compatible broker symbol and quote format. Daily entry protection cannot guarantee that account equity stays inside a firm’s limit, especially with other strategies already trading.

What does HFT Spike trade?

It targets short-lived XAUUSD/gold spikes and a possible pullback. The developer states that M1 is used internally, so the attached chart timeframe is not the strategy timeframe.

Does HFT Spike have a grid option?

Yes. Version 4.50 added recovery/grid mode, including integration with PropFirm Mode. Older no-grid descriptions do not describe every available configuration. Check whether recovery is enabled in your inputs.

Does PropFirm Mode guarantee a daily loss limit?

No. It uses account-wide profit and loss to restrict its own new entries. Slippage and existing trades, including trades from other EAs, can still move account equity. Match the settings and time boundary to the provider’s actual rules.

Is the USD Index filter automatic?

The developer describes this as optional and disabled by default in the June explanation. Broker symbol names and quote precision matter; confirm the current input and available index feed before relying on it.
