Kumiko XR EA MT5 offers day and night gold engines with separate basket rules and a controlled session handover. Choose it for an MT5 hedging account if you want configurable XAUUSD averaging exposure and are prepared to fund and monitor baskets that can remain open beyond their entry session.
Decide which gold sessions to run
The day window is 10:00–22:00 server time and the night window is 01:00–09:00. Day trading uses wider recovery spacing with H4 trend/momentum filtering, while the overnight engine uses tighter spacing and smaller basket targets. Check these server-time windows against your broker before enabling the selected engine.
A basket keeps the rules of the engine that opened it. The next session waits while that basket is active, rather than starting an overlapping basket under a second set of rules. This matters when evaluating the daily schedule: a session boundary does not mean all exposure has closed.
Choose the loss response before trading
- Recovery sizing: the ladder can add larger positions against an adverse move. Its leg limit restricts the number of additions, not the amount the account can lose.
- Daily equity stop: this optional control is off by default. When enabled, it closes positions and pauses trading for the day at the configured decline from the day’s opening balance.
- Test assumptions: the published simulations leave that stop off. Enabling it changes basket exits and needs a separate test.
Confirm the account can run the selected engine
The documented setup is one XAUUSD M1 chart and one instance, on a hedging account with two-decimal gold quotes. The developer specifies at least $3,000 per engine, recommends $5,000, and lists leverage of 1:200 minimum with 1:500 preferred. Low spreads and continuous VPS operation are also part of the setup assumptions. Those capital figures do not guarantee that a sustained move can be absorbed.
Although newer release notes permit attachment to other chart timeframes, they preserve XAUUSD M1 behaviour. Start from M1 when reproducing the documented configuration, and check basket handling after terminal restarts as part of demo setup.

The developer publishes a four-year in-sample gold backtest and openly identifies its averaging exposure. The public seller signal is named Kumiko X, the related night-session edition, rather than Kumiko XR. What market and chart does Kumiko XR use?
