- Public manual: Solitaire configuration and limitations
Solitaire EA MT5 trades gold using multiple entry models, configurable entry protection and three exit methods: virtual trailing, broker trailing or fixed take profit.
Gold entries and exits you can configure
Solitaire separates its entry-protection profile from its profit-target profile. Standard and Safer selections alter screening or target behaviour, not automatically the lot size. The public manual describes a default cap of four original positions on hedging accounts, while netting uses one managed book. Each original trade has a broker-side protective stop; execution can still be worse than the requested level.

Check the current settings, not the older slogan
The overview and an older promotional image still describe a one-position system without recovery. September release notes and the public manual describe concurrency and an optional recovery ladder instead. Recovery is off by default, and the manual warns of an unresolved order-confirmation issue for live use. The latest release notes checked do not explicitly clear that warning. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing settings.
Chart and account requirements
Use XAUUSD in MetaTrader 5; the developer says chart timeframe is not decisive because analysis is internal. The overview suggests $1,000 at 0.01 lot and $2,000+ for gentler exposure, but concurrent trades increase total exposure. Virtual trailing and stale exits require a running, connected terminal. Broker-held stops remain subject to the broker’s execution conditions.
Public evidence
The linked new account showed −31.82% growth after only three trades on 16 September 2026. The previous public account was also negative. The Solitaire review examines both accounts, the changing strategy documentation and original test images. Historical simulations and short positive reviews do not establish the current release’s profitability.
