Impulse MT5 EA combines six gold-entry strategies with selectable trade management. Simon Reeves’ Starpoint Trading system looks for momentum, pullbacks and agreement across timeframes on XAUUSD, with a dashboard showing which strategies are waiting, preparing or trading.
Six entry engines, two ways to manage trades
- Momentum and pullback selection: enable individual strategy modules to suit the opportunities you want to follow.
- Standard or Conservative entries: adjust selectivity without changing the management of an open basket.
- Recovery Grid or Single Position: choose equal-lot basket recovery or individual trades with configurable SL/TP.
- Adaptive spacing: the grid can respond to volatility and widen as positions accumulate.
- Practical controls: spread, news, schedule, margin and drawdown settings, plus clear on-chart status.
Recovery Grid is the default. Equal-sized additions avoid a martingale lot multiplier, but total exposure still increases with each position. The separate Single Position mode does not add recovery trades. Compare the two approaches before choosing settings.

FAQs
Does Impulse use grid or martingale?
Recovery Grid is the default trade mode. Added positions use the same lot size rather than a martingale multiplier, but adding positions still increases total exposure. Single Position mode provides a separate approach with configurable broker-side stop loss and take profit and no recovery additions.
Which chart should I use?
Impulse trades spot gold on MetaTrader 5. Attach it to your broker’s XAUUSD or equivalent gold chart; the trading timeframes are internal, so the displayed chart timeframe does not control the strategy. The listing recommends a hedging account, tight spreads and a dependable VPS.
Does the news filter close existing trades?
No. It pauses new baskets around selected announcements. Existing baskets continue to be managed, including recovery additions. The current news guide also describes blocking new baskets when calendar data cannot be verified; that protection is on by default.
Which version is supplied and can I update it?
Managed installation supplies the latest version available on MQL5. You can check for and install updates yourself at any time. Follow the README in your order to arrange setup and have your order number ready.
