StormDRAGON EA MT5 lets you assemble a gold strategy from four separately configurable modules. The key choice is whether to run its stop-loss breakout entries alone or include the pullback module with fixed-lot recovery. Each selection changes how the EA uses the same XAUUSD account exposure.

Choose the heroes for your trading approach

• OniSHIN: momentum breakouts with configurable trailing management and an optional liquidity-sweep entry mode.
• GinRYU: faster breakout trading with tight stops and trailing exits.
• KaguraZEN: conservative or aggressive breakout entries with stop-loss management.
• KyoSHIRO: QuasiModo-style pullback entries and fixed-lot recovery, with optional partial closing above 0.01 lot.

Use CUSTOM mode when you want to select modules, entry modes and lot sizes yourself. Three breakout modules and one recovery module are different exposure choices; enabling more heroes does not diversify away from gold.

Use the dashboard to check execution

The Broker Slippage Lab separates fills and execution costs by hero, helping you evaluate the broker against the modules actually enabled. Pending orders, stop-loss overrides and independent news/session controls are available for breakout modules. Check each hero’s OCO setting: the default cancels its opposite pending order after one side triggers, while the controls allow that behaviour to be changed.

Chart and broker setup

Attach the EA to a single XAUUSD H1 chart; its strategy timeframes are handled internally. The developer’s latest guidance favours the pending-order SCALP preset instead of the older market-order LOW preset. The listed SCALP starting balance is $250 with 0.01-lot entries, but this is a developer setup recommendation, not a guarantee of adequate capital or limited loss.

For news filtering, MT5 must allow WebRequest access to the documented economic-calendar feed. The developer warns that trading can continue without news protection if the feed is not permitted. Use low-spread execution conditions and a continuously connected terminal or VPS, and check the selected heroes, sizing and news status before going live.

Choose the exposure you want

SCALP and recovery-enabled configurations are materially different. Adding KyoSHIRO introduces extra positions during adverse movement, even though the recovery lots are fixed. All four strategies still share gold exposure. Stop losses, trailing stops and drawdown settings can reduce exposure but do not guarantee an exact loss limit through gaps or slippage.

Live signal and further research

At the 16 September 2026 check, the developer-linked Vantage real account showed 88.89% growth and 21.89% relative equity drawdown. Its history includes earlier GBPJPY trading and several changes to settings, so it is not a clean test of only today’s gold configuration.
