StormDRAGON EA MT5 combines four independently configurable XAUUSD strategies with a fantasy-themed trading dashboard. Three breakout modules can run with stop losses and trailing exits, while a separate pullback module adds optional fixed-lot recovery.
Four gold strategies in one EA
Choose the heroes individually or use a preset to combine breakout and pullback trading. CUSTOM mode provides control over strategy selection, lot sizes and entry modes.
- OniSHIN: momentum breakouts, an optional liquidity-sweep mode and configurable trailing management.
- GinRYU: faster breakout entries with tight stops and trailing exits.
- KaguraZEN: gold breakouts with conservative/aggressive entry choices and stop-loss management.
- KyoSHIRO: QuasiModo-style pullbacks with fixed-lot recovery; optional partial closing is available above 0.01 lot.
Execution and dashboard controls
The Broker Slippage Lab reports fills and execution costs by hero. Breakout modules support pending orders, optional stop-loss overrides and independent news/session controls. The default OCO behaviour cancels the opposite pending order after one side triggers; the current controls also allow that behaviour to be changed per hero.
Chart and broker setup
Attach the EA to a single XAUUSD H1 chart; its strategy timeframes are handled internally. The developer’s latest guidance favours the pending-order SCALP preset instead of the older market-order LOW preset. The listed SCALP starting balance is $250 with 0.01-lot entries, but this is a developer setup recommendation, not a guarantee of adequate capital or limited loss.
For news filtering, MT5 must allow WebRequest access to the documented economic-calendar feed. The developer warns that trading can continue without news protection if the feed is not permitted. Use low-spread execution conditions and a continuously connected terminal or VPS, and check the selected heroes, sizing and news status before going live.
Choose the exposure you want
SCALP and recovery-enabled configurations are materially different. Adding KyoSHIRO introduces extra positions during adverse movement, even though the recovery lots are fixed. All four strategies still share gold exposure. Stop losses, trailing stops and drawdown settings can reduce exposure but do not guarantee an exact loss limit through gaps or slippage.
Live signal and further research
At the 16 September 2026 check, the developer-linked Vantage real account showed 88.89% growth and 21.89% relative equity drawdown. Its history includes earlier GBPJPY trading and several changes to settings, so it is not a clean test of only today’s gold configuration. Which market and chart does StormDRAGON use?
The current system is designed for XAUUSD on MetaTrader 5. Attach it to one H1 chart; the EA handles the internal strategy timeframes.
Does every setup use a recovery grid?
No. The SCALP configuration uses the three breakout heroes with stop-loss and trailing management. Adding KyoSHIRO introduces fixed-lot recovery exposure.
Which preset does the developer currently recommend for starting?
The latest release notes favour pending-order SCALP instead of market-order LOW. Test with the intended broker, balance and lot sizes first.
What does the news filter require?
Permission for the economic-calendar WebRequest URL specified in the description. Without access, the developer warns that new trades may continue without the news pause.
Does the live signal prove results for every setting?
No. It includes older GBPJPY activity, manual intervention and changes to presets. Current gold-only results and individual configurations cannot be isolated from its headline growth alone.
