TrendPilot MT5 EA uses H1 direction and a completed M15 confirmation to decide when entries are allowed. It can respond to a strong developing H1 candle, while ATR-adaptive stacking, basket compression and daily profit locks manage the resulting exposure.
An H1 filter with intrabar responsiveness
The primary H1 reading can react before the hour closes when a developing candle is strong. The most recent closed M15 candle must agree before entry. This is distinct from AlignTrend’s completed H4 filter. With no agreement, new entry is withheld; inspect exit behaviour in a demo rather than assuming every temporary disagreement is an automatic reversal.
Basket scaling and compression
The EA can add positions during a profitable directional move, using movement, profit progression and ATR conditions to adjust spacing. Maximum position and lot exposure, margin checks and basket compression provide constraints. Compression reduces selected existing exposure; it does not make a full basket immune to a common market reversal.
Several independent protection levels
Initial ATR stops and targets work alongside basket profit protection and adaptive trailing. A daily lock can protect a percentage of peak daily gains and stop further trading after a retreat. Daily losses, daily trade count, sessions, per-position loss cuts and emergency floating-drawdown closure are separately configurable.
Practical operation and evidence
The dashboard reports H1/M15 agreement, basket direction, P/L, spread, volatility and lock status. Optional Telegram notifications report events. Forex, metals, indices and other liquid MT5 instruments are listed as suitable markets, subject to testing with their own contract specifications. Its description allows a sufficiently strong developing H1 candle to establish direction before close. M15 supplies the completed signal, so this is different from closed-H4 alignment.
Are the daily lock and basket lock the same control?
No. One manages a basket’s profit giveback, while the other protects part of peak daily profit. Thresholds, reset behaviour and loss limits need to be tested separately.
