ToTheMoon is a preset-driven Forex grid EA for MT4 and MT5. It averages positions, can increase lots against an adverse move and uses profitable orders to help close losing exposure. AUDCAD M5 is the developer’s main NoPain/NoStress example.
Our assessment: the breadth of public account history makes this a worthwhile system to research. Its appeal is configurable basket management supported by several long-running records; the main consideration is floating drawdown, which can be much larger than the closed-balance curve suggests.

How the strategy works
The developer’s explanation describes a grid seeking an average exit price. As the market moves against a basket, the EA can increase position sizes. Profitable orders can partially close losing orders, including across symbols in multi-symbol mode.
That mechanism depends on sufficient retracement and available margin. It does not remove the loss: it manages which positions are closed and what exposure remains. The developer cautions that gold, Bitcoin and indices can be particularly risky for this approach because they can trend strongly. The system should not be presented as universally safe or as a no-martingale alternative simply because its recovery logic is configurable.
NoPain MT5: a long account history with a shorter monitoring period

The capture shows approximately 2,122% growth and 20.63% relative equity drawdown on OANDA_Global-Live-1, labelled real by MQL5. This is a substantial record, but the dates matter: the account history stretches back to 2021 while the signal’s displayed start is 16 October 2024. It is not 254 weeks of continuous MQL5 monitoring.
Withdrawals are part of the account history, so growth is not the same calculation as current balance divided by the initial deposit. The EA and its settings have also evolved. The entire curve cannot be attributed to today’s build running unchanged.
Four accounts, four different contexts
- NoPain MT5
- Approximately 2,122% growth; 20.63% equity drawdown. OANDA_Global-Live-1. Account history 254 weeks; signal start October 2024.
- NoPain MT4
- 74.47% growth; 21.45% equity drawdown. Tickmill-Live09. About 93 weeks; signal start 29 November 2024.
- NoStress MT4
- Approximately 273% growth; 39.40% equity drawdown. CapitalPointTrading-Live05. About 163 weeks; signal start 26 July 2023.
- NoStress MT5
- 260.30% growth; 41.57% equity drawdown. CapitalPointTrading-MT5. About 163 weeks; signal start 26 July 2023.
These are dated observations from 11 September 2026, not a controlled comparison. Different periods, brokers, account conditions and settings prevent us from concluding that one platform inherently performs better. Check the current NoPain MT4, NoStress MT4 and NoStress MT5 records alongside the MT5 capture.

Why balance drawdown alone is misleading
At the check, NoStress MT4’s relative balance drawdown was only 3.86%, against 39.40% equity drawdown. The MT5 counterpart showed 3.69% and 41.57% respectively. That difference is central to evaluating a basket strategy: open losses can remain substantial while the closed-trade balance appears comparatively steady.
Long histories are useful evidence of what those accounts survived. They do not establish a maximum future loss, guarantee a recovery or validate every preset. Broker names and MQL5’s real-account labels also do not constitute an independent regulatory assessment.
MT4 or MT5: what actually differs?
The broad grid concept is shared. MT4 is relevant if your existing trading environment and selected presets are built for that terminal. MT5 specifically requires a hedging account; the developer says netting does not work properly. FIFO accounts are unsuitable.
The MT5 release history identifies an MT5-only news filter, with an important limitation: it does not work in backtests. MT5 notes also describe withdrawal simulation and a monthly withdrawal table. Those are useful workflow differences, not evidence that MT5 generates higher returns.
Both editions need correctly matched preset files, realistic costs and a stable connection. Choose the edition your account supports, then evaluate the preset rather than extrapolating from the best-looking headline signal.
Presets, updates and practical checks
The developer profile links a public preset folder with separate MT4 and MT5 directories. The current source folders and release notes identify build 3.6 at this research date. Older settings and historical signal results may reflect earlier builds.
- Capital references: the listing suggests $1,200 for NoPain and $600 for NoStress on AUDCAD M5. These are starting references, not maximum-loss assurances.
- Currency: check money-management inputs against the account currency. Recent notes describe improved automatic adjustment, while older guidance discusses manual conversion.
- Preset changes: read the migration notes before changing inputs on an open basket. A newly published preset is not automatically appropriate for existing positions.
- Manual hedging: recent notes say manually placed hedge orders can be excluded from the robot’s calculations and require manual management.
- Margin: leverage affects available margin, but copying a signal’s leverage does not reproduce its risk or execution.
What customers say

The MT5 listing displayed six reviews, with favourable comments about stability, early experience, preset choice and support. The selected reviewer explicitly described only one month of use. Another referred to watching the market for two years; that is not necessarily two years personally running this EA.
The MT4 listing had one review praising the presets and developer support. These small, positive samples are encouraging about customer experience, but they cannot establish the probability or size of a future loss. Product reviews are also separate from feedback about copying an MQL5 signal. We have not imported these ratings as CheaperForex purchase reviews.
Our conclusion
ToTheMoon deserves a closer look for traders comfortable assessing grid exposure. The multiple public records and transparent description of averaging are more useful than a return headline alone. We would focus on equity drawdown, preset history and the consequences of a prolonged trend before choosing a risk setting.
The MT4 product page covers the preset-oriented workflow; the MT5 product page covers its platform-specific controls. Neither edition makes the underlying recovery risk disappear.
Review FAQs
Are the MT4 and MT5 signals directly comparable?
Not as a controlled platform comparison. They use different accounts, brokers, histories and potentially changing settings. Compare each account’s risk and monitoring dates separately.
Does NoPain mean that the EA cannot lose?
No. NoPain and NoStress are preset names. Grid positions and increasing exposure can produce significant losses, especially when price does not retrace.
Was the NoPain MT5 signal monitored for its entire account history?
No. MQL5 displays account history from 2021, but its signal start is 16 October 2024. Earlier account history and monitoring since that date should not be conflated.
Has CheaperForex independently forward-tested ToTheMoon?
This review examines public developer material, release notes, customer feedback and MQL5 accounts. It does not claim an independent forward test or executable code audit.
