A focused chart with configurable exits
The documented setup uses XAUUSD on M5. The public IC Markets preset exposes take-profit, stop-loss and trailing inputs, alongside automatic or manual sizing. Those controls are useful to inspect, but their presence does not prove how the entire algorithm behaves in every market.
Read preset values in their own units
The public file includes a Risk input and several distance settings. Do not translate an unexplained input value into a guaranteed percentage loss or a fixed dollar stop. Check the manual, broker contract and resulting order sizes. Retain the original preset so later changes can be compared reliably.
Enable the news connection
The developer’s news instructions require access to the specified faireconomy data endpoint through MT5 WebRequest. A filter switched on in a preset still needs a working connection. The developer also says that this news filtering does not apply in backtests, which can explain some differences between simulated and running trades.
Match builds before judging a mismatch
Earlier signal trades used development versions, according to the developer’s public explanation. The current retail file, an older preset and a pre-release account period are not automatically like-for-like. Our review brings those limitations together with the genuine dated signal and customer feedback captures.

Why can my backtest differ from the signal?
The developer cites earlier development builds and news filtering that does not apply in the tester. Compare overlapping dates, the exact build, preset and costs before interpreting a difference.

The public preset alone does not establish that interpretation. Check the documented calculation and resulting order risk for your broker’s contract.
What should I check if the news filter is not working?
Check the documented WebRequest permission and data connection as well as the input being enabled. Review the terminal messages before allowing unattended operation.
