SomaOil EA MT5 runs 20 WTI breakout strategies on one oil chart. Its preset risk allocations, spread controls and strategy-specific exits give oil traders a practical way to manage a portfolio across several internal timeframes.

What the portfolio does

Developed by Andrii Soma, each strategy has its own trading identity, swing detection and exits. Several strategies may participate in the same market move, so the total open exposure matters more than the number of strategies. The EA reads its working timeframes internally; you do not need a separate chart for each setup.

• WTI portfolio: 20 pre-tuned strategies using D1, H12, H8, H4 and H1 data internally.
• Allocation choices: conservative, medium and high presets, plus individual strategy selection.
• Execution controls: pending-order spread filtering, news windows and margin-aware sizing.

Oil-specific settings

The allocation presets use the same 20 strategies with different sizing. Conservative is the default; moving to a higher allocation changes exposure, not the market being traded. A strategy selector also lets you run a subset. Some strategies trail or move to breakeven, while others use fixed targets or weekly exits.

The spread filter can stop new pending orders and remove existing pending orders after a sustained spread spike. It does not close an already open position simply because the spread widens. NFP, CPI and rate-decision filters cover selected US events; they are not a complete oil-inventory or geopolitical-news filter.

Monitor the whole account exposure

Fixed lots and capital-step sizing are available, with a risk multiplier, maximum-lot setting and balance/equity selection. OnlyUp sizing can retain the peak-capital baseline through a drawdown, so lot sizes need not fall as equity falls. Margin protection considers pending orders, but cannot guarantee that a gap or fast market will stay within the intended risk.

Evidence to review before increasing risk

The developer publishes two oil signals with different allocations and starting dates. They should be assessed separately rather than treating the higher cumulative return as a fair like-for-like comparison.
