Smart Gold Hunter EA MT5 Review: Gold Profiles & Risk Controls

Smart Gold Hunter EA MT5 uses single-entry gold trading with several selectable profiles. The appeal is a choice of entry and exit behaviour without a recovery basket. The most useful questions concern the active profile, stop handling and the evidence for that exact configuration.

Review scope: current product documentation checked 24 September 2026. CheaperForex sells this EA. This is an editorial source assessment, not a claim that we have independently run a live trading test. Older images below retain their role as historical evidence.

Profiles are a more meaningful comparison than an old chart period

The product has expanded beyond the single setup described by our earlier review. Striker and the other named profiles expose different timing and exit choices. Comparing two users’ results without their profile is therefore incomplete. Save the profile, sizing, spread, news settings and any custom changes with each test.

Hidden-stop options deserve a specific operational check

The old article promised a real stop on every trade. That was too broad for the current menu of options. If a configuration hides the initial stop, ask what protection is held in the terminal, what is sent to the broker and what survives a disconnection. Test that behaviour on demo; do not infer it from the presence of a stop line in an older chart screenshot.

Single entry changes exposure, not the need for evidence

Avoiding a recovery basket makes a position easier to inspect, but a profitable system still needs a sufficient payoff relative to its losing trades and costs. A high win rate can coexist with occasional larger losses. Compare the current account’s average win and loss, equity drawdown and trading frequency instead of treating the no-grid label as a performance claim.

How to read the account’s growth

MQL5 growth is compounded between balance operations; deposits do not simply turn it into a meaningless number. Cumulative profit, cash added or removed, and ending equity answer separate questions. Our older screenshot must be read as a historical observation, not as today’s return or proof that every current profile was used throughout the record.

What the retained evidence can establish

The archived gallery includes an IC Markets signal screenshot, a funded-account interface example, a backtest and early customer comments. The interface demonstrates a particular displayed setup, not approval from that prop firm or the behaviour of every newer profile. The tester report covers its shown period and assumptions. Customer comments remain third-party experiences, distinct from CheaperForex purchase ratings.

A practical evaluation before increasing exposure

Keep the exact build, preset, broker symbol specification and dates with the result. Check permissions and the operating status first, then compare a sequence of trades at the same monetary risk. Record spread, commission, slippage, floating equity and simultaneous positions. A configuration change starts a new comparison; it should not silently rewrite the explanation of earlier trades.

Our verdict

Smart Gold Hunter EA MT5 is a single-entry gold robot with selectable trading profiles and account-level protections. It suits XAUUSD traders who want to compare entry and exit styles without using a recovery basket. The developer describes single-entry operation without grid, martingale or recovery. This does not eliminate the possibility of a sequence of losing trades.
