Q8JAN Gold Adaptive Professional uses M5 trend context and M1 confirmation for automated XAUUSD trading in MetaTrader 5. Its published design combines multiple entry paths with Anti-Chase checks, one-position protection and automatic loss and profit management.
Our assessment: A Gold entry-and-protection framework for users who want confirmation rules rather than constant market participation. The main buying consideration is evidence: the overview is behind the release history, no public signal is linked, and the developer documents substantial overlap with Dr JAN Gold.

The overview and release history tell different stories
The main overview still concentrates on an earlier balanced-protection update, while the September 11 release notes describe a major architecture reset. This makes the release history essential when evaluating Q8JAN Gold. We use it to describe the current direction of development without presenting every historical setting as an unchanged default.
The latest notes describe M1/M5 coordination, direction prioritisation, counter-trend detection, strong-trend retests and revised re-entry handling. The system therefore has several entry paths. “Adaptive” is a description of its market-condition logic; the listing does not establish an independently tested AI learning capability.
Anti-Chase, Loss Cut and profit protection
Anti-Chase checks aim to avoid entering too far into an existing move. That can reduce late entries, but more restrictive filters can also miss continuation trades. Loss Cut is intended to manage adverse positions earlier; progressive profit locking is intended to preserve a portion of an open gain. Neither removes the need to measure average loss, average winner and the cost of repeated entries.
The older overview gives a specific pause after consecutive losses. Because the latest architecture notes also discuss removing conflicting post-loss conditions, we do not promise that every old threshold remains a current default. The supplied settings and observed log messages are the practical place to confirm how today’s build behaves.
Shared strategy history with Dr JAN Gold
The September 10 notes for both Gold editions refer to the same strategy baseline. The next day’s architecture descriptions remain closely aligned, with Q8JAN mentioning its dedicated Magic Number. This is a material overlap, not evidence that the two products are independent diversifiers.
A different name or price does not demonstrate that Q8JAN delivers better returns. Compare the current inputs and trade behaviour if choosing between the editions. Running both on the same instrument can increase exposure to the same market move.
What the performance graphic proves
One developer graphic includes account-style tables and a rising curve. It is a supplied promotional image, not a public signal we could inspect. Its “verified performance” headline does not let us authenticate the account, reconstruct its drawdown or confirm the settings. We retain it as source artwork with that limitation stated, rather than turn its numbers into performance claims in our verdict.
Public signals and buyer feedback
Checked on 15 September 2026: the MQL5 review section showed no customer reviews, and the comments page showed no public discussion. No product-specific public live signal or standalone manual was linked from the overview. We therefore have no customer-review screenshots to reproduce and no live growth, drawdown or broker record to validate. This article is a source-based assessment, not a hands-on trading test.
Developer artwork and feature illustrations
The following originals explain the developer’s presentation of the EA. Promotional graphs, account screenshots embedded in marketing artwork and claims printed on the images have not been independently authenticated.

Offer and comparison context
The MQL5 purchase panel currently lists rental periods, not an outright purchase. The annual amount shown in catalogue cards should not be read as a permanent-license RRP. Our linked product page describes the separate standalone offer; we have not used a rental fee to invent a saving or price-tracking baseline.
