EA Legendary Scalper Review: MT4 vs MT5, Signals & Broker Results

EA Legendary Scalper trades gold and crypto M30 breakouts with adaptive spread handling and configurable exits. Two linked MT5 gold accounts make the strategy more inspectable than a backtest-only listing, but both have meaningful drawdowns and recent losing months. The strongest reason to investigate it is the control set; the main buying consideration is whether its short trades survive your broker’s costs and execution.

How the strategy and risk controls fit together

Recent price ranges define support/resistance, with movement and volatility filters deciding whether a break qualifies. The developer describes neural-network filtering and no grid or martingale. The controls include automatic spread adaptation, manual spread limits, pending or market entries, adaptive or manual stops and optional hidden exits. Daily order and profit thresholds restrict further trading; they should not be represented as a guaranteed maximum account-loss stop.

SL3: longer history, but a substantial decline from the peak

On 20 September 2026, signal 2364127 showed 115.13% growth over 33 weeks, 239 trades and a 1.20 profit factor on Weltrade-Real, MT5, with 1:500 leverage. Its initial deposit was $75 and balance/equity were $161.35. Relative balance drawdown was 44.05%; the separate equity-relative field showed 2.76%. These differently calculated fields must not be used to describe the whole record as having only 2.76% risk. August returned −32.42%, following −3.54% in July; September stood at −9.66% at the check.

SL7: account history is not the same as monitoring history

Signal 2391534 showed 87.85% growth, 150 trades and a 1.20 profit factor, also on Weltrade-Real MT5 at 1:500. A $99 initial deposit had become $185.97. The maximal balance-drawdown field showed 29.55%, whereas the equity-relative field showed 2.30%. Although the account displayed 20 weeks, the Started field was 16 September 2026. Its live monitoring window was therefore very short at our check; do not interpret the full imported account history as twenty weeks of continuously observed equity.

What the recent months and trade duration suggest

SL7’s August and September figures were −6.31% and −12.78%, respectively. SL3 averaged 42 seconds per trade; SL7 averaged three minutes. MQL5 displayed negative-slippage warnings, and its history records concentrated growth in a small number of days. The practical implication is to test the broker and chosen preset under costs similar to those you will pay. A low-latency VPS helps reduce delay but cannot make two brokers’ quotes or fills identical.

Read the review text, not only the stars

The MT5 listing had five reviews. Several praised early results or support; one buyer initially liked the backtest and had not yet supplied months of live experience. Another customer later updated a positive review to say the EA was turned off after poor July and August performance. The single MT4 review described disappointing live results despite low latency and broker changes. The developer’s reply attributes differences to broker quotes, spreads and slippage. These are customer accounts of experience, not independently verified results.

MT4 versus MT5 evidence

Both editions advertise the same markets and core method, but the currently linked SL3 and SL7 accounts explicitly use MT5 presets. They do not validate the MT4 executable on an MT4 broker. The platform-specific product pages therefore place different emphasis on account checks and customer evidence. The review screenshots preserve the distinction; their ratings are not imported into CheaperForex’s own customer-review score.

Original gallery and settings guidance

The gallery includes separate historical tests for XAUUSD, BTCUSD and ETHUSD, plus spread configuration and dashboard examples. The tests show what the developer simulated, not live multi-market profits. The spread illustration is useful because it exposes the decision between automatic adaptation and a manual threshold. Its numerical values come from that example broker and build. Copying them without checking contract points, tick values and observed spread would remove much of the point of adaptation.

Practical verdict

Legendary has enough public detail to compare its controls and two MT5 setups, but its recent declines and execution sensitivity deserve equal prominence with cumulative growth. Test one intended market/preset first, confirm sizing mode and stop behaviour, and compare filled trade costs rather than expecting the headline percentage. Choose MT4 for a tested MT4 environment or MT5 for a tested MT5 hedging arrangement where your setup requires it; neither platform label is a promise of superior returns.
