EA New Player MT5 Review: Strategy, Settings and Signal Evidence

By 7 min read

EA New Player MT5 targets XAUUSD with a portfolio of trading signals, multiple-timeframe confirmation and configurable execution. Its current overview describes seven classic strategies, but the release history changes the architecture and introduces ONNX modelling. The linked public guide also describes grid and virtual-martingale controls that later updates discuss differently.

Our assessment: potentially useful for traders comfortable examining settings and testing a gold portfolio. Its main consideration is technical clarity: the public overview, older guide and release notes do not provide a consistent specification of the current supplied configuration. This review checks those sources and genuine customer feedback as of 8 October 2026; it is not a firsthand trading test or executable audit.

What the current overview advertises

The main listing describes seven classic technical strategies, flexible confirmation filters and internal analysis from M1 to H4. It recommends XAUUSD on H1, fully automatic mode and the developer’s normal settings. The strategy-model templates, coefficient thresholds and optimisation inputs are presented as tools for advanced testing rather than a reason for every buyer to retune the robot immediately.

The listing states USD 1,500 minimum and USD 3,500 recommended per 0.01 lot. Those numbers supersede the lower figures in the older setup article for our description of the current offer. Cent-account support is mentioned, but account units, contract sizes and actual lot exposure still need verification with the broker.

Why the guide and releases require careful reading

The public setup article is dated 24 August 2025. It describes agreement between several strategies and timeframes, plus market or virtual pending-entry modes. In the pending example, an activation level and a cancellation level test whether price continues in the intended direction before a real trade is opened. These are useful explanations of the earlier design, not confirmation that every option remains unchanged.

The same article explicitly documents real grid volume multipliers, configurable grid steps, individual-order and whole-grid stop losses, and whole-grid exits. Its “Virtual Martingale” section describes one to ten simulated orders before a real entry is triggered. Virtual orders themselves do not transact, but a later real entry can still carry substantial exposure. Simulation does not make the resulting real trade risk-free.

Release notes complicate a simple label. The November 2025 release 7.0 says there is no grid, martingale or doubling; release 7.77 then describes integrating older versions. Earlier notes mention twelve strategies and AI, while later 9.0 and 10.1 notes discuss ONNX. The current 10.2 note, dated 2 August 2026, mentions default XAUUSD H1 settings, optimisation, removed nodes and minor fixes. Meanwhile the overview still says seven strategies without AI.

These are genuine contradictions in the public descriptions. They do not prove that the current executable uses every old feature, nor justify certifying it as AI-free or no-grid. Before live use, inspect the actual supplied build and preset: lot progression, order-count limits, grid/recovery switches, stop behaviour and any external-model dependencies. Avoid importing an old set file merely because it has the same product name.

There is also material risk history in the latest public comments. During an August 2026 exchange about removed account protections, the developer said that available functions depend on the algorithm and cannot always fit in one version. On 16 August he acknowledged that 78% drawdown is possible with aggressive settings and high lot size, and that a small account had been lost during aggressive testing. He also said an older signal was removed because it no longer represented the EA. These are the developer’s statements, not a reconstruction of the lost account; they make checking current protective inputs particularly important.

The matching signal is an MT4 account

The profile record named EA New Player, signal 2388644, runs MetaTrader 4 on Weltrade-Live. MQL5 labels it “Real Account”. This platform distinction matters: the product on this page is MT5, and the signal does not establish equivalent code, settings or current-build performance.

Genuine MQL5 signal 2388644 capture, 8 October 2026. MT4 on Weltrade-Live, labelled Real Account by MQL5; six-week history and 1:1000 leverage. This is not direct evidence for the MT5 edition sold here. Subscription was not permitted.

On 8 October 2026 it showed approximately six weeks since its 28 August start and 91 trades, reporting growth of 28.37% and profit factor 3.37. Maximum equity drawdown was 10.89%, compared with balance drawdown of 3.66%. The larger equity figure captures floating-loss exposure that the balance-only figure can hide.

The account shows an initial USD 1,000 deposit, no additional deposits or withdrawals, 100% algorithmic trading and maximum deposit load of 7.26%. Its 1:1000 leverage and short history limit how broadly those results can be applied. MQL5 blocked subscriptions, citing leverage above 1:500 and the provider being debarred from selling signals; no further reason is stated. It is a record to inspect, not a subscription included with the EA.

The developer’s architecture diagram

Original developer architecture diagram retrieved 8 October 2026, showing M1–H4 analysis, technical indicators and filters. Its no-black-box-AI wording is an advertised description, not an executable audit; later ONNX release notes require separate consideration.

This gallery image illustrates M1–H4 analysis feeding technical-indicator checks and filters labelled NewsFilter and StopTradeDD. It is useful for understanding the advertised design, but does not establish the precise enabled functions in a supplied build. Its no-black-box-AI wording must be read alongside the later ONNX release notes. A diagram of a drawdown control is not evidence of a guaranteed maximum loss; execution and exposure still matter.

Customer opinions: praise and a material criticism

Visible April 2026 comments praise support and report favourable XAUUSD experiences over weeks or months. Those are purchaser reports, not independently reproduced results. One comment also discusses testing New Player Pro, which is a different product; we do not treat the Pro experience as evidence for this listing.

A 4 August 2026 review reports an account crash and describes martingale behaviour. The developer responds that the settings were incorrect and that setup help had not been requested. The exchange warrants checking the actual configuration and possible loss exposure. It does not let us verify the reported trades, decide the cause of the loss or assume that every current preset follows the reviewer’s setup.

We keep third-party MQL5 feedback separate from CheaperForex verified-purchase ratings. Positive support experiences and negative trading reports can both be relevant without becoming a guarantee or a definitive audit.

Public settings and setup before live trading

A later shared portfolio guide dated 20 July 2026, linked from the release notes, again specifies New Player on XAUUSD H1 with USD 1,500 per 0.01 lot. It lists risk-preset examples using different suggested balances. Those examples help locate the developer’s setup guidance but do not settle the overview’s architectural contradictions or guarantee a safe drawdown at any balance.

The older setup guide lists external service addresses for WebRequest and links to public presets. Follow only addresses that the actual build’s current instructions require; do not assume every historical dependency still applies. The separate public presets blog now points readers towards the developer’s settings site and community material. Private consultation, VIP settings, gifts for reviews and the original cover’s free MT4 bonus are direct-developer promotions, not promised parts of this CheaperForex offer.

Test with representative spread and execution conditions, retain the exact build and preset used, and examine worst-case open exposure rather than only closed-profit curves. The multi-timeframe design can make backtesting slower. A compatible demo run is especially valuable when the public documentation does not clearly settle which features remain enabled.
