EA Super Trend XAUUSD MT5 Review: Controls, Signal and Risk

By 5 min read

EA Super Trend XAUUSD MT5 is a gold trading robot built around two-stage entry confirmation and configurable trade management. Partial closing, reverse-signal exits and trailing controls are its most concrete selling points. Its public signal is young and includes the developer’s manual profit taking, so it cannot establish how an unattended installation will perform.

Our assessment: a candidate for traders who want adjustable gold execution and are prepared to test the defaults on their own broker. The main consideration is the gap between a promising short signal history and the risk shown in the developer’s tester material. This is an analysis of public sources checked on 8 October 2026; we have not traded or audited the executable.

How the entry and exit controls fit together

The main listing describes a primary signal followed by secondary confirmation, with analysis on a new bar. It does not publish enough detail to independently reconstruct every entry. It references Synthetic Trend AI in its explanation; a separately purchased indicator is not listed as an operating requirement, and we do not promise that separate product as an included bonus.

After entry, fixed stop-loss and take-profit distances are only part of the management. Partial closing can take a chosen percentage of volume after a specified points gain, once or repeatedly. A trailing stop has its own start, distance and step. The developer says the stop respects the broker’s minimum distance and does not retreat from a profit-protecting level back into a losing zone. Actual order handling still depends on broker execution and correctly scaled inputs.

An optional reverse-signal exit creates another reason to close a position. Because the maximum-spread filter also applies to signal-based closing, it should be tested as an exit constraint, not treated solely as an entry filter. Position-count, spacing and entry-delay limits matter when more than one trade is allowed: several stop-loss orders can still produce overlapping gold exposure.

The public MT5 signal: what the snapshot actually shows

The matching profile signal, 2392762, is an MT5 account on RoboForex-Pro, labelled “Real Account” by MQL5. It started on 24 September 2026 and showed approximately three weeks of history and 122 trades when checked on 8 October. The snapshot reported 302.54% growth, profit factor 8.81, maximum equity drawdown 6.21% and balance drawdown 6.04%. These figures describe that account and period, not a forecast.

Genuine MQL5 signal 2392762 capture, 8 October 2026. MT5, labelled Real Account by MQL5; short history, 1:2000 leverage, funding changes and manual closing must be considered. Subscription was not permitted.

The account uses 1:2000 leverage, higher than the listing’s recommended 1:500. Its funding history shows an initial USD 100 deposit, USD 380 in additional deposits and USD 179.54 in withdrawals. Percentage growth should not be substituted for a simple return on the initial deposit when cash flows have changed.

Most importantly, the snapshot shows 68% algorithmic trading. In a public reply on 1 October, the developer says he uses default H1 settings but manually closes orders before their take-profit. This makes it a developer-managed account with intervention; it does not isolate the EA’s unattended results. A few profitable weeks can also miss the kind of adverse regime that reveals a strategy’s drawdown.

MQL5 displayed “Subscription not permitted”, citing leverage above 1:500 and the provider being debarred from selling signals. The page does not explain the latter further. We link the record for examination; buying this EA does not include a copyable signal subscription.

The tester image gives a different view of risk

EA Super Trend developer backtest statistics with 42.97 percent relative equity drawdown
Original developer tester image retrieved 8 October 2026: 5,560 trades, profit factor 1.95 and relative equity drawdown 42.97%. Test dates, currency and full settings are absent from this image.

The original statistics image contains 5,560 trades and a profit factor of 1.95. Its relative equity drawdown is 42.97% and relative balance drawdown is 42.60%. Those are distinct from the maximal equity drawdown entry of 17.50% in the same report; the measures use different reference points. Selecting only the smaller number would conceal material risk.

Developer supplied EA Super Trend balance and equity curve
Original developer gallery curve retrieved 8 October 2026. The image omits the test period and complete settings; it is not evidence of a live account or a reproducible test by CheaperForex.

The gallery also displays a rising balance/equity curve. Neither this curve nor the cropped statistics supplies the full testing period, account currency, broker conditions and complete settings needed to reproduce the run. We have not established that both images describe exactly the same test. A displayed 100% history-quality label does not remove optimization bias, execution differences or uncertainty about future markets.

What early customers say

Early MQL5 customer reviews for EA Super Trend captured 8 October 2026
Genuine MQL5 customer review capture, 8 October 2026. Early purchaser opinions and support comments are separate from CheaperForex verified-purchase ratings and independently established returns.

Visible MQL5 feedback is encouraging about developer support but remains early. Jason Salomon Slabbers’s 29 September comment describes promising backtests while real performance is still being tested. Uchimi’s 2 October feedback expresses high expectations, and Mercier Guillaume Patrick’s 8 October comment is an initial impression with more trading still to observe. These are useful observations about support and early use, rather than long-term evidence of reliable profits.

The screenshot is genuine third-party feedback. Its stars are not imported into CheaperForex’s verified-purchase ratings, and the comments do not replace your own broker-specific test.

Requirements and practical checks

The main listing specifies XAUUSD on M30–H1, a hedging account and USD 1,500 minimum, recommending ECN/RAW conditions and a VPS. An 8 October reply mentions USD 1,000; we retain the main listing’s higher requirement rather than presenting a lower figure as equally safe. Deposit guidance and leverage are operating recommendations, not loss limits.

Check lot steps, minimum remaining volume after partial closes, gold point values, spread behaviour and server-time sessions on demo. Automatic sizing is proportional to balance; it is not documented as constant risk per stop-loss. A wider stop or several simultaneous positions can increase total cash risk.
