SomaForex EA MT5 runs a portfolio of 34 breakout strategies across EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY from one chart. Each strategy has its own timeframe, swing settings, position sizing and exits, while shared controls manage news exposure, pending orders, margin and trading hours.

Andrii Soma’s EA combines eight EURUSD, eleven GBPUSD and fifteen USDJPY strategies. It reads its timeframes internally, so there is no need to maintain 34 charts. The dashboard brings pending/open exposure, effective capital, drawdown and trading costs into one view.

Set portfolio exposure deliberately
When OnlyUp is enabled, sizing follows peak capital and does not reduce automatically during trading drawdowns. Withdrawals and deposits adjust the peak. MaxLots defaults to zero, leaving no EA-imposed volume cap beyond broker specifications. Margin protection is enabled by default and checks order affordability; it does not cap future trading losses.
Close affected open positions before removing their numbers from StrategiesToRun. Disabled strategies stop managing their trades as well as placing new ones.
The current public MT5 reference has only five closed trades, all USDJPY, and a small negative return. That early sample does not yet establish how the full 34-strategy mix performs; the review separates it from the historical tester results.
The spread filter applies to pending orders, not an open trade’s exits. News controls can block entries, remove pendings and close positions around configured NFP, CPI and rate-decision windows. Prop-firm daily-loss/no-hedge controls are optional and off by default; they do not guarantee compliance with a firm’s rules.
Keep MT5 running for active management. AutoGMT requires the public WorldTimeServer URL in MT5’s allowed WebRequest list; manual broker-time offsets are also available. Check position sizing, symbol specifications, costs and aggregate USD exposure before live use.

Which chart and markets does SomaForex use?
It trades EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY from one MT5 chart, usually EURUSD. The chart timeframe can be any period because the strategies read D1, H12, H8, H4 and H1 internally. Check broker symbol prefixes/suffixes or set manual tickers.
What happens if I disable a strategy?
Removing a strategy from StrategiesToRun stops its trade management as well as new orders. Close affected open positions before changing that selection.
How does OnlyUp affect risk?
When enabled, it uses peak capital and does not reduce lot sizing during trading drawdowns. Withdrawals lower the sizing peak and deposits raise it. This can keep exposure high relative to reduced equity. MaxLots defaults to zero, so set a positive limit if you want an EA volume cap.
Does margin protection guarantee account safety?
No. The default-on margin check considers working same-side pending orders and can scale portfolio lots down together. It does not guarantee that future trading losses or gaps stay within a particular amount.
What do the news and spread filters cover?
Built-in NFP, CPI and rate/FOMC windows can block entries, cancel pendings and close positions, with strategy-specific timings. The spread filter removes pending orders after a configured period of excessive spread; it does not change the normal exits of open trades.
Are prop-firm limits active automatically?
The daily-drawdown/no-hedge compliance layer is off by default. Per-pair pending caps and entry/exit randomization have separate settings. No setting guarantees acceptance or compliance under every firm’s rules.
What does AutoGMT require?
Add https://www.worldtimeserver.com/ to MT5’s allowed WebRequest URLs. It is a public time service for broker-time synchronization. Manual offsets are available; correct timing matters for news and the trading window.
