The Gold Orbit EA MT5 Review: Signal, Presets & Backtests

The Gold Orbit EA MT5 is a nine-strategy XAUUSD breakout system using pending orders, price-scaled entry distances and individually protected trades. Its appeal is a gold portfolio without grid, martingale or averaging, with several ways to manage exits and position size.

Our assessment: the stop-based design is worth examining, but the current live sample is too small for a strong reliability claim. Portfolio exposure, older preset settings and the difference between backtests and monitored results matter more than the largest profit headline.

Nine breakout strategies on one chart

Each engine has its own magic number, timeframe, swing window, target and sessions. Pending orders are placed around qualifying unbroken swing levels and expire when stale. Some engines seek faster intraday moves; others use daily-chart structures and may remain quiet for much longer.

Entry and target distances scale with the previous daily open, while the stop remains fixed in points. This is proportional price scaling, not evidence that the EA can adapt successfully to every market regime.

The exit sequence uses break-even, locking and trailing. The graphic describes a failed-breakout check using the first M1 and M15 candles after entry; the overview calls it a learning AI model without documenting training or validation. We would assess the actual exit behavior rather than treat the AI label as proof of an advantage.

Risk is per trade, not per portfolio

All nine engines can hold trades at the same time. A selected percentage therefore does not cap total account risk at that number. The broker’s minimum volume, simultaneous stops, gaps and slippage can change the effective loss.

Individual stop losses are a useful distinction from recovery products. They still do not guarantee an exact worst-case fill, and moving a stop past entry does not eliminate all execution risk. The startup log’s stop valuation is a useful check before enabling the selected lot mode.

The growth table assigns 20.43% to August and 1.36% to September. Monitoring began in September, so the earlier trading record and monitored equity history are not equivalent. The very small equity drawdown should not be presented as the account’s complete historical risk.

MQL5 warns that there are too few deals to assess quality. The $83.10 starting balance is also below the current $200 suggestion and should not be treated as a recommended setup. With only 75% marked algorithmic, the entire history is not proven output of the current EA alone.

Developer comments on 10–11 September report a VPS problem, missed trades and a resumed signal. At capture, MQL5 still showed the latest trade five days earlier. A posted resumption message does not establish that new trades have since appeared in the monitored record.

The auto-lot example reports about $7.97 million net profit from $200, a 7.98 profit factor and 1,028 trades. Its detailed report distinguishes 9.55% maximal equity drawdown from 23.49% relative equity drawdown. Those measurements are not interchangeable.

A separate January 2025–4 August 2026 example shows $2,130.31 net profit from $200, 1,125 trades, profit factor 4.53 and 21.44% equity drawdown. Its trade count differs from the auto-lot example, so these should not be merged into one result.

The second report lists seven consecutive losing trades and a largest individual loss of $5.87 in that run. Neither that loss nor its historical drawdown sets a future ceiling. The developer says the EA was designed around recent gold conditions; these graphics do not establish robustness across every earlier regime or the latest release.

Public presets: useful, but older than today’s release

All three downloaded preset headers identify v1.1, saved 31 August 2026. Their stop inputs are 2,000 points for the wider-stop example, 600 for the other test and 300 for the file labelled live signal. These are source input values, not our recommended settings; confirm scaling and cash risk with your broker.

The files use fixed 0.01 lots, enable all nine strategies and set InpMaxDailyDD=0, InpMaxTotalRisk=0 and InpCheckMargin=false. They therefore do not demonstrate that daily/account protection and margin checking are active. A listed feature and an enabled preset control are different things.

The presets enable FOMC filtering, leave NFP/CPI off and use 60-minute before/after windows. Pending-order closure is enabled for news, while open-position closure is not. Those are dated preset observations; later builds may add inputs or alter behavior.

News schedule and release changes

The overview describes compiled 2024–2026 FOMC, NFP and CPI dates, with US daylight-saving handling and broker-offset detection. No WebRequest feed is required for this calendar. That refers to the news schedule, not permission to disconnect the trading terminal. Future dates still require coverage in a current build.

The inspected version was 1.60, released 13 September 2026 to fix weekly pending-order closure. Versions 1.10, 1.20, 1.30 and 1.50 changed trailing behavior; 1.40 added Normal/High trade-frequency selection. Normal is described as matching 1.30. Older screenshots and presets cannot establish the outcome of those later changes.

Buyer reviews and same-account use

Both visible reviews were five-star. May KIM expresses early satisfaction while saying more observation is needed. The newer bird72 review discusses backtests across several broker/account conditions and acknowledges that forward results still need verification.

The latter also refers to an AI-assisted assessment. That is not an independent trading audit, and its comparative claims were not reproduced here. Neither review provides a long live account history; both are kept separate from CheaperForex verified-purchase ratings.

A customer asked whether Orbit can run with Gold Space. The developer replied that their strategies differ, though entries can sometimes coincide. That is useful compatibility guidance, not a guarantee of low combined exposure. Check identifiers, overall sizing and account-level controls before combining EAs.

Verdict

Orbit has a distinct, understandable breakout structure and a useful set of documented controls. Its public presets and detailed reports make scrutiny possible. The practical limitation is the tiny monitored sample, interrupted operation and multiple recent exit changes. Evaluate live behavior and aggregate risk before relying on the exceptional test profits.

Frequently asked questions

Is the public Orbit signal a long-term record?

No. On 13 September 2026 it showed two weeks and 12 trades, with monitoring starting 2 September. Most displayed growth was assigned to August, before that monitoring start.

Can I treat the signal’s 0.20% equity drawdown as its full historical risk?

No. The page separately reports 6.13% relative balance drawdown. Earlier trading history and later equity monitoring cover different evidence windows; a tiny monitored equity figure does not establish negligible account risk.

Are the published presets current defaults?

The three inspected files identify version 1.1 and were saved on 31 August 2026. The current release is newer. Their zero daily-drawdown values and disabled margin check should not be assumed to represent protected current defaults.

How is Orbit different from Fusion and Universe?

Orbit describes stop-based breakout trading without grid or martingale. Fusion uses equal-size recovery baskets; Universe explicitly uses martingale recovery. Shared authorship does not make their results interchangeable.
