GoldPulse AI EA MT4 trades gold against several currencies using a combination of daytime and evening strategies. Supported instruments include XAUUSD, XAUEUR, XAUGBP, XAUCHF, XAUAUD, XAUJPY, XAUSGD and XAUCNH, provided your broker offers them. The multi-cross approach expands the available setups beyond dollar gold, while keeping gold exposure at the center of the system.

This edition is for traders retaining an MT4 account or operating environment. It should be evaluated as a gold portfolio: eight quoted currencies do not create eight unrelated investments. A sharp move in gold or a currency shared by other positions can affect several trades together.

Updated strategy and exposure controls

The developer’s release history records a substantial redesign into daytime and evening strategy groups, followed by market adaptations and an additional volatility filter. One-chart operation replaced the older instruction to attach a separate copy to every gold chart. That change matters when configuring the current strategy family and when reading older tutorials.

• One-chart operation: coordinate the supported gold crosses through the EA’s symbol configuration.
• Volatility filter: an additional entry filter is available through the documented Volatility_filter parameter.
• Position limits: settings introduced in the release history can restrict positions across symbols and magic numbers.
• Trading schedule: the published controls include a Friday-trading switch alongside news filtering.

MT4 calendar and backtesting differences

GoldPulse’s MT4 and MT5 versions share the strategy family, but the developer explicitly distinguishes their news-calendar implementation. The current MT4 overview lists external calendar WebRequest permissions. Follow the MT4 instructions for those services; the MT5 note about an internal MQL5 calendar should not be copied into an MT4 setup.

There is also an important tester limitation. The MT4 release notes state that its tester evaluates one pair at a time. Separate reports therefore do not show the combined drawdown of a multi-cross portfolio. The developer points to the MT5 tester for a combined assessment; a favorable individual chart is not enough to establish acceptable portfolio exposure.

Read results with the settings in view

The currently published GoldPulse signal is an MT5 account configured with the daytime news filter off and the nighttime filter on. It is useful context, but it is not a dedicated MT4 result or evidence for every strategy combination. The record also includes extended quiet periods and larger average losing trades than winning trades, so win rate alone gives an incomplete picture.

The developer describes the EA as avoiding grid and martingale. Earlier user discussions raised concerns about loss size and hidden stops, followed by changes to the strategy. Demo-test the supplied configuration, check how exits behave and review aggregate exposure before committing live capital.
