MoonDog runs five XAUUSD breakout modules from one MT5 chart: Nova, Apex, Zenith, Pulse and Eclipse. The current documented system adds local ONNX entry filtering, MoonLock profit protection and configurable news controls.
- Five independently managed gold breakout modules.
- Buy-stop and sell-stop entries with an initial stop and target.
- ONNX mode selection, MoonLock profiles and per-trade sizing.
Five modules with shared account exposure
Each module looks for a different breakout or expansion condition and manages its own trades. Several modules may hold positions at once, so the risk selected for one trade is not the maximum total account exposure. The developer states that the system does not use grid recovery, averaging or larger recovery trades after losses.
Controls to check before trading
The public guide describes Conservative 2x ONNX, More Trades 2x ONNX and Without ONNX modes. The models run locally and do not retrain themselves during live trading. Conservative mode also rechecks pending-order eligibility on the internal H1 cycle. Critically, AUTO uses fixed 0.01 lot on live/demo charts but 2% planned risk per trade in Strategy Tester. Match the sizing mode before comparing a test with a live account.
MoonLock closes the whole position
MoonLock tracks eligible peak profit after activation. Classic 50% aims to protect around half of that peak on a pullback; it does not close half the lot. Gradual profiles and Spike Shield change the protection behaviour. Virtual protection depends on a running terminal and execution; a target amount is not a guaranteed fill.
Read the current developer guide before applying settings; it describes the current developer build, which may be newer than the retained package described below.

Public evidence and suitability
MoonDog’s modular structure and explicit execution tools are useful for traders who want to inspect how their gold breakout system behaves. Its sizing-mode difference and virtual profit protection deserve particular attention. The public results are encouraging samples, but too small and configuration-dependent to justify broad return promises.
